JACKIE LEE DAVIS


   Jackie Lee Davis, 60, Burkesville, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at T J Samson Hospital. Born March 3, 1959 in Burkesville he was a son of the late Medford and Gladys Vibbert Davis.
   He was a truck driver in the logging industry.
   Survivors include one sister, Debbie Jane (Glen) Brown, Burkesville; two brothers, Medford Wayne (Brenda) Davis, Glasgow and Cecil Joe Davis, Edmonton; and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death besides his parents by one sister, Barbara Wray.
   Funeral services will be Sunday, June 30, 2019, 2:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mud Camp Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2019, 2:00-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday June 30 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
   In lieu of flowers donations may be made for funeral expenses at the funeral home

RONALD L MASSIE

 
  Ronald Lee Massie, 63 of Glasgow passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. Born August 5, 1955 in Stamping Ground, Ky. he was a son of the late Pelham and Juanita Graston Massie.
  He worked as a stock clerk in the retail grocery industry and was of the Catholic faith.
  Survivors include one daughter, Ronda Lee Massie, four sisters Deborah (Garry) Shaw, Wanda Schinker, JoAnn (Jim) Yahnke and Bonnie (Dewey) Bratcher and two grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews Athena, CJ, Daniel, Tasia, Andrea, Larry Gene, Marcie and Amanda.
  Preceding him in death besides his parents was one son Adam Massie, one sister Anita Massie and one brother Robert Lynn Rogers.
  A ceremony will be held at a later date as cremation was chosen.

Bobby Lenwood Anderson


Bobby Lenwood Anderson, 83, Burkesville, passed away June 16, 2019, at The Medical Center, Bowling Green, KY.  Born January 1, 1936, in Burkesville, KY, he was the son of the late Gid and Emma Branstetter Anderson and the husband of the late Mardell Shaw Anderson.
He worked as a paver operator in road construction.
Survivors include one son Larry (Melissa) Anderson, Burkesville, KY; two grandchildren Tonya Scott and Donald (Amanda) Anderson; and two great grandchildren Justin Scott and Nicholas Anderson.
Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife was one grandson, Adam Anderson,  and a brother Thomas Anderson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Freddie Froedge officiating.  Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 2019, from 2:00 till 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, after 7:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m.

Clifton (Jackie) White



   Clifton Faye (Jackie) White, 78 of Summer Shade, passed away June 13, 2019 at his home. Born March 7, 1941 in Burkesville, KY he was a son of the late Brad and Lovie Muse White.
   He was a dozer operator and a member of the Marrowbone Baptist Church.
   Survivors include his wife of 27 years Jenny Turner White, one daughter Pamela Wilborn, one son Tony White both of Tompkinsville and one step daughter Donna (Timmy) Likens of Glasgow, KY; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one sister Joyce Muse of Marrowbone and one brother Denton (Joanie) White of Indiana as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.
   Preceding him in death besides his parents is four sisters Margaret White, Margie Cromwell, Emogene Patterson and Mary Holland; three brothers Elmer, Preston and Sam White.
   Funeral services will be Sunday June 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Darrell Bartley and Finis Capshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery.
    Visitation will begin Saturday June 15, 2019 from 4:00 till 9:00 and on Sunday from 8:00 am until time of service at 2:00 at McMurtrey Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to the Beaumont Cemetery and can be left at the Funeral Home.

Randell McCoy


   Randell Raymond McCoy, 75, Summer Shade, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Signature Health Care of Monroe County. Born July 12, 1943, in Glasgow, KY he was a son of the late C W and Pernie Kingrey McCoy.
   He worked at pipeline construction and was a member of the Cornerstone Church.
   Survivors include, four daughters, Rhonda (Doug) Eckerty, Gibson City, IL, Tammy (Ken Moulton, Jr.) McCoy, Portland, Maine, Darla McCoy, Champaign, Il., and Karen (Ben) Molinar, Conroe, TX; one sister, Kay (Jackie Ben) Gearlds, Tompkinsville, Ky.; two brothers, Charles (Linda) McCoy, Louisville Ky. and Mike (Irene) McCoy, Glasgow, Ky.;  sixteen grandchildren Angie Reddick, Cody and Christopher McCoy,Cayla (Bradley) Norris, Donna, Darren and Danielle Eckerty, Joshua (Meghan Antonetti) McCormick, Jessica McCormick, Dawson Sanchez, Meagan (Cody Nelson) McCoy, Kyle Beddow, Justin (Amy) Seel, Morgan (Jaharvis Allen) Seel and Ethan and Mason Molinar and 17 great grandchildren and the mother of his children Carolyn Griffith.
  Preceding him in death besides his parents was one son, Randy McCoy and one brother Kenneth McCoy.
   Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Mark Park officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade          Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019, from 2:00 till 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday, June 15, 2019 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 12:00 noon

MELBA LORENE BROWN MURLEY


   Melba Lorene Brown Murley, 85, Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Barren County Nursing and Rehab. Born April 25, 1934 in Dubre, KY she was a daughter of the late Fowler and Roxie Harper Brown and the widow of the late Tommy Glen Murley. She was a member of Willow Shade Church of Christ and she had worked at Red Kap Industries.
   Survivors include one daughter, Deborah (Billy) Shoopman, Glasgow; two sisters, Mary Thurman, Edmonton and Janet (Lonnie) Parke, Dubre; three brothers, Robert Brown, Dubre, Ovell (Mary) Brown, Summer Shade, and Glen (Jane) Brown, Dubre; three grandchildren, Jonathan (LaJill) Garrett, Tompkinsville and Amber (Derek) Scott, Tompkinsville, and Trevor (Kate) Shoopman, Gamaliel; eight great grandchildren, Hayden and Braden Garrett, Chandler Birge, Aiden, Pyper, and Ella Scott, Leelan and Letty Shoopman.
   She was preceded in death, besides her parents and husband, by one sister Lenna Marie Brown and one brother Wendell Brown.
   Funeral services will be Sunday, June 9, 2019, 2:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2019, 1:00-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 2:00 P.M.
   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Monroe County Back Pack Program

NELLIE CHRISTINE SHAW


   Nellie Christine Shaw, 84, Marrowbone, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. Born November 6, 1934 in Dubree, KY, she was a daughter of the late Finis and Tessie Abney Shaw and the widow of the late Nile Shaw.
   She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
   Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Miller, Burkesville and Rebecca Davidson, Glasgow; one son, Donnie (Lou) Shaw, Liberty; one sister Della Hare, Colombia; four grandchildren, Jenny (Travis) Puckett, Michael Chambers, Tyler (Dixi) Riley, and Chad Emmitt; and one great grandchild, Eli Puckett.
   Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, were one grandson, Donnie Shaw II; two sisters, Delpha Meredith and Lois Capshaw; two brothers, Edward Shaw and Calvin Shaw, and one son in law Larry Miller.
   Funeral services will be Monday, June 3, 2019, 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 2, 2019, 1:00-8:00 P.M. and on Monday, June 3, 2019 after 7:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M.
   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Casey Fork Cemetery.
