Bonnie Lee Debiak

 


Bonnie Lee Debiak, age 76, of Glasgow KY, passed away Wednesday October 2, 2024, at her residence. Bonnie was born in Wilkinsburg Pennsylvania on October 23, 1947, to the late Thomas and Alice Redfern Tucker.

 

Bonnie enjoyed spending her time going to church, traveling with her church group, spending time with her children and grandchildren, crafting, and crossword puzzles.

 

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Glenn Debiak; children, Matthew (Megan), Mark (Beth), Joshua (Brianne), and Luke (Kaylin) Debiak; grandchildren, Rosalee, Lily, Eve, Kaylee-Rose, Maddox, Paxton, Gracen, Avery, and Bennett Debiak; and her brother, Tim Tucker.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Casey James Debiak.

 

Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday until time for the service.

James Leslie Morris




 James Leslie Morris, age 84, of Summer Shade, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in Louisville, KY. James Leslie was born April 21, 1940, to the late Joe and Christine (White) Morris. 


He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Morris Stum (Jeff Stum) of Louisville and two grandsons, Zane Stum and Wyatt Stum both of Louisville; siblings; Beverly Joe Morris of Nashville, Eloise Jackson of Glasgow, and Max Russell Morris (Judy) of Glasgow; brother-in-law, Tommy Nunnally of Edmonton; sisters-in-law, Nancy Shaw (Billy Joe) of Glasgow and Julie Ennis (Jeff) of Summer Shade; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Nunnally Morris; along with his sisters-in-law, Betty Morris and Rebecca Bartley Nunnally; Brothers-in-law Charles Jackson and Maxi, Ronnie and Eddie Nunnally.

James Leslie graduated Austin Tracy High School. He married Martha in 1963, before moving to Alaska for his service in the U S Army. After his release, James and Martha moved to Bowling Green where they lived for almost 40 years. He spent his career as a semi-truck driver, making sales and deliveries in the South-central Kentucky region for Renner’s Trucking and Consolidated Freights. After retiring from Consolidated Freights and caring for Martha during her illness, in 1999 he moved to Summer Shade where he spent over 20 years as a cattle farmer.  He served on the board of the Summer Shade volunteer fire dept and the Metcalfe County Cattlemen’s Association.  He enjoyed showing Tennessee Walking horses, camping, fishing, hunting and boating. James was a caring and kind man, loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He loved spending time with family and friends and staying active.

There will be a public graveside service held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Summer Shade Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Alzheimer’s Association.

Linvel Ovell Brown

 


Linvel Ovell Brown, 85, a beloved figure of Summer Shade, Kentucky, sadly left our world on Sunday, September 29, 2024, after a life richly lived in kindness. Ovell was born in Dubre, Kentucky, on June 11, 1939, to the late Ludy Fowler Brown and Roxie Mae Harper. He was a self-employed diesel mechanic for many years.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Ann “Ritter” Brown; daughters, Susie Brown (Mark), Carol Brown (Josh), Jennifer Pedigo (Jimmy), and Amanda Brown-Wyatt (Nathan); grandchildren, April Matthews (Ryan), Candice Johnson (Ryan), Jenna Grace Pedigo, and Garrett Wyatt (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Preston and Kimber Matthews, Carson and Rhett Johnson; brother, Glen Brown; sister, Janet Parke (Lonnie).

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Wendell Brown; sisters, Marie Brown, Melba Murley, and Mary Thurman; and his grandson, Corbin Wyatt.  

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, and again on Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

Barbara Ann Scott


Barbara Ann Scott, 87 of Edmonton, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at the NHC Healthcare Center in Glasgow.  Born in Green County on December 6, 1936, to the late Raymond and Zell Ann Norris Martin.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Howard Scott.  Mrs. Scott retired from the Bindery Department at R R Donnelley’s, she enjoyed her flowers, taking walks and spending time with her grandchildren and family members.  Mrs. Scott was a member of the Edmonton Worship Center in Edmonton.

 Survivors include three daughters Tammie Haney (Donnie) of Randolph, KY, Patsy Hudson (Larry) of Speedway, IN, Teresa Martin of Elizabethtown: seven grandchildren Keslie (Trea) Pickett, Jacob Scott, Maverick Scott, Matthew Martin, Josh Martin, Brandon Haney, Bowen Haney: five great-grandchildren.  Along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

 In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son William (Billy) Allen Scott,  her brothers Carlos Martin Avery (Bill) Martin, and Maxie Martin.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Edmonton Worship Center in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 4pm until 7pm Tuesday and after 8am Wednesday at the church.

 McMurtrey Funeral Home is assisting the family with their service.
