SYLVIA MAE HUFFMAN ALLEN


Sylvia Mae Huffman Allen, age 66, of Glasgow died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her residence.

   Born October 12, 1951 in Summer Shade she was a daughter of the late Beatrice Franklin and George Huffman.

   She had worked as a pharmacy tech.

   Survivors include one son, Jerry Huffman, Louisville; three sisters Lucille Staten, Glasgow, Emma Barlow, Edmonton and Nova Stone, Summer Shade; two brothers George L Huffman, Louisville and Marvin Lewis Huffman, Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents by two sisters Laverne Tinker and Anna Huffman and one brother Leonard Huffman.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Tyler Cemetery. The wake will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 9:00-1:00, time of services.

RUBY VELLENE ROUSE NORMAN


Ruby Vellene Rouse Norman, age 74, of Tompkinsville, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Signature Health Care in Tompkinsville.

   She was born January 1, 1944 in Tompkinsville to the late Luther and Roxie May Webb Rouse. She was the widow of the late Burford Norman.

    She was a factory worker and of the Methodist faith.

   Survivors include one sister, Belle (Taylor) Wilson, Tompkinsville; one sister in law Sheila Norman, Tompkinsville; one brother in law Bob (Elaine) Norman, Pikeville, Ky; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and friends and staff at Signature Health Care.

  Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, James Rouse Norman and one sister Ellen Frances Rouse.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Calvin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 17, 2017 after 7:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Liberty Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
