NELTON GARMON

NELTON NORRIS GARMON




Nelton Norris Garmon, age 86 of Glasgow, died Friday, April 22 at the Glenview Health Care Facility. The retired farmer was a son of the late Herbert and Mamie Norris Garmon. He was a member of the Refuge Church of Christ, an avid mule enthusiast and a member of the Barren Co Saddle Club. He was a WW II Veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Larry (Julie) Garmon and Timothy ( Sherri Jo) Garmon both of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Chad Garmon, LaShea Garmon and Kyle Garmon; two great grandchildren, Makenzie Fauber and Makaylee Fauber; four sisters,Loretta Huckelby of Dubre, Covella Hare of Cave City, Louise Gibson and Linda Traylor both of Edmonton; two brothers, Phillip Garmon of Burkesville and Rondal Garmon of Dubre.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evalee Garmon, one Brother, Harold Garmon and one brother-in-law, Ewing Huckelby.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 25, at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin Sunday, Apr. 24 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

HERBERT ALEXANDER MURLEY

Herbert Alexander Murley, age 68 of Tompkinsville,died Thursday, April 21 at his home. He was a son of the late Raymond Herbert and Dollie Rebecca Fletcher Murley. He was a farmer, a former employee of Stitches, Inc. and was a Veteran of the U S Army.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Wood Murley;  one daughter, Cynthia Dawn Murley of Tompkinsville;  two grandchildren, Alex Tarter and Cassie Dodson;  four sisters,Loretta (Bennie) Dubree and Evelyn Ferguson of Summer Shade, Jamie Farlee of Burkesville and Frances James of Indiana;  one brother, Stanley (Virginia ) Murley of Summer Shade.
In addition to;his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister,Opal Harlan.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro.Bryan Fox officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Friday, Apr.22 at 3:00PM at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made to help with the funeral expense.

KEVIN HAROLD TURNER

Kevin Harold Turner, age 36 of Edmonton, died Saturday at his home.  He is a son of Harold and Deborah Norris Turner who survive. He is also survived by a sister Donna June Turner of Edmonton and his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Norris of Summer Shade; one uncle,Dwight (Martha ) Norris of Summe Shade. Several aunts,uncles and cousins also survive.
He was  preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ed and Ovie Turner and maternal grandfather Alton Norris.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 18 at 2:00 PM at the House of Prayer Church with Pastor Phil Lowry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Sunday, April 17 at 1:00 PM. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home and after 12;00 noon Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Summer Shade Fire Dept.

Vernon Leon (Buddy ) Ketchem

Vernon Leon (Buddy ) Ketchem,age 83 of Greensburg, died Sunday,  April 13 at his home.He was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Julia Irene Stansell Ketchem.   He was a former Superintendent of a Paper Mill, a member of the First Wesleyan Church and a Veteran of WW 11.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hazel Leamon Ketchem;  one son, Vernon Ketchem of Greensburg:
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Steve Ketchem:  brothers, Hershel, Reuben, Alfred, Henry and Charlie Ketchem and sisters, May Gassaway and Mattie Johnson and one infant brother and sister.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 13 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Robert Allred officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiseville Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, April 12 at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pauline Goode White

Pauline Goode White, age 81 of Edmonton, died Monday, April 11 at her home.  She was a daughter of the late Mace and Josie Matthews Goode.She was a former employee in the sewing industry and was a member of the House of Prayer Church.
She is survived by her husband, HomerWhite; one daughter, Paula J.(Tudor ) Martin of Edmonton;  two sons, William H. (Faye ) White and James Carson White both of Summer Shade; three grandhildren, Terry, Chad (Lori ) White and John (Dru )Martin;  two great grandchildren and three step great grandhildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death  by one sister, Marie Bragg and one brother, James Goode.
Funeral serices will be Thursday, April 14 at 2:00 PM at the House of Prayer Church with Pastors Phil Lowry and Wes Jolly officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon Wednesday at the House of Prayer Church.

MINNIE PEARL JENNINGS

Minnie Pearl Jennings, age 94 of Summer Shade, died Friday, March 8, 2011 at the NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.  She was a daughter of the late Isaac and Susan Amyx Oliver. She was a former employee of the T J Samson Community Hospital and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Jennings of Glasgow and Tilda Ann Bryant of Edmonton;  four sons, Paul Jennings and Jessie (Barbara ) Jennings both of Glasgow, Edward Jennings of Mississippi and Frank Jennings of Summer Shade;  one sister,Lois Riley of Glasgow;  five grand children,Rashae Jennings, Shaun Jennings, Christopher Jennings, Noel Jennings and Neal Jennings; two great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Jennings, three sisters,Nettie May Kingrey, Idell Parks and Cathryn Woods and two brothers, Walter and Marion Oliver.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Apr. 10 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Parks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
