Jerry Neal Biggerstaff


 

  Jerry Neal Biggerstaff, age 51, of Glasgow passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born on August 17, 1970 in Tompkinsville, KY to Skeets and Connie “Fletcher” Biggerstaff; who both survive.

   Survivors, in addition to his parents, include, his wife Kandy “Denton” Biggerstaff of Glasgow; one daughter, Ashli Kale (Aaron Craine) of Summer Shade; three sons, Ethan Biggerstaff (Rebekah) of Bardstown, Logan Biggerstaff (Kayla Melton) of Glasgow, and Adam Philpott (Tessa Copas) of Cave City; two brothers,  Brian Biggerstaff (Kathy) of Arizona, and Jackie Fletcher (Mary) of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Samuel Kale, Kaitlyn Kale, Kailee Kale, Atom Kale, and Abigail Biggerstaff also survive.

   He was preceded in death by one son Aaron Philpott.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Noon at The White Cemetery. Burial will follow the service.  

   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral expenses. These can be made at the McMurtrey Funeral Home.

Ira Thomas Key


 

Ira Thomas Key, age 79, of Edmonton, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Monroe County Medical Center. He was born on April 11, 1942 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Ack and Ester “Perkins” Key

   He worked as an oil and water driller ,farmer, and also worked in Lawn Care Service. He was also a devoted member of the House of Prayer.

   Survivors include, two daughters, Pam Dile (Lonnie) of Edmonton and Chandra Harper (Terry Dile) of Greensburg; Special Nephew, Steven Blythe (Stephanie) of Edmonton; two sisters, Betty Smith (Wood) of Edmonton and Carolyn Taylor (Bee) of Glasgow; one brother Herman Key (Becky) of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Cayce Dile, Coleman(Tara) Dile, Chelsie Dile, Chas Harper, and Travis Harper (Megan); 5 great- grandchildren and 2 special great-nephews also survive.

   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Ellen “Blythe” Key and three brothers, Delton, Shelby and Welby Key.

   Funeral services will be Sunday, January 30, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at The House of Prayer, with Bro. Phil Lowery and Bro. Wes Jolly officiating. Burial will follow in the House of Prayer Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. On Sunday, December 30 visitation will continue at the House of Prayer from 10 A.M. until service time at 2 P.M.

   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The House of Prayer Church Cemetery Fund.

Howard Andrew "Harry John" Lemons

 

 

   Howard Andrew “Harry John” Lemons, age 83, formerly of Beaumont, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Barren County Nursing Home in Glasgow. Born June 16, 1938 in Beaumont, KY he was a son of the late Lou Vada Smith and Herbert Lemons.

   He was a farmer and of the Church of Christ faith.

   Survivors include one brother, Melvin and his wife Violet Lemons, of Glasgow; and several nieces and a nephew.

   Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers, Leroy and Shelby Mitchell Lemons and one sister, Laverne Lemons.

   Graveside funeral services will be Friday, January 28, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at Beaumont Cemetery. Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Beaumont Cemetery.

Donald John Obergfel

 

Donald John Obergfel, age 75, of Edmonton, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. Born May 23, 1946 in Claytonville, Illinois, he was a son of the late John and Nettie Hofer Obergfel.

   Survivors include, his wife, Carol Ann “Howe” Obergfel; one daughter, Jennifer Jo Obergfel;one son Jonathan (D.J) Obergfel all of Edmonton;  one sister, Dorothy Jean Rosenboom of Buckley, Illinois.

   In addition to his parents one step- brother precedes him in death.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 26, 2022, 10:00 AM at Summer Shade Cemetery, with Mark Park officiating.

   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with funeral expense and left at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

Wendell Raymond Mosby

 

 

   Wendell Raymond Mosby, age 77, of Edmonton, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Norton’s Audubon Hospital in Louisville. Born November 29, 1943 in Glasgow, KY he was a son of the late Ruth (Jarvis) and Raymond “Punch” Mosby. He was the husband of 56 years of Suzanne Devore Mosby.

   Wendell owned Mosby Used Cars and worked in his body shop. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

   Survivors besides his wife, include one son, Ricky and his wife Kim Mosby of Edmonton.

   Besides his parents, one sister, Connie Mosby, preceded him in death.

   Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, January 22, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Metcalfe County, with Brother Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Metcalfe County Animal Shelter.

Davis Wayne Whitlow


 

 

   Davis Wayne Whitlow, age 33, of Edmonton, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at his residence. Born October 14, 1988 in Glasgow, he was a son of Gary Whitlow, Edmonton and Karen Faye Harper Whitlow, Edmonton, who survive.

   He was a truck driver for W&W Express and of the Baptist faith.

   Survivors other than his parents include, his wife, Leslie Ann Whitlow; one brother, Kevin (Tyra) Whitlow, Edmonton;  aunts, Jackie Walker, Tammy Baker, Lisa Bush, Joyce McCoy and Judy Wilson; two nephews, Chase and Seth Weaver; three great nieces and one great nephew;

several cousins; and close friend, Billie Jo Burks.

   Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Donna and Larry Miller and Dorthene and Dewell Harper.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 19, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Cliff Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Society Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00.

Mrs. Lola "Jennings" Taylor


 

Lola “JenningsTaylor, age 75, of Glasgow, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at The Barren County Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Glasgow. Born August 30, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Bernice and Opal "Pedigo" Jennings. She was the widow of the late Joe Alan Taylor.

   Mrs. Taylor worked in the Social service industry as a secretary and was a devout Christian.

   She is survived by one daughter, Felicia (Joey) Pennington, Edmonton; one sister Linda (Jimmy) Welch ,Glasgow; grandson, Nicolas Taylor Geraci, Florida;

   Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents was one brother, James Orville Jennings.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Mike Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022, 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 2:00.

   In lieu of plants memorials may be made to the ALS Association, Metcalfe County Animal Shelter, or the Barren River Animal Welfare Association. These can be left here at the funeral home.

Sallie "Emogene" Isenberg


 Sallie “Emogene” Isenberg

 

 

   Sallie “Emogene” Isenberg, age 91, of Summer Shade, passed away Friday, January 8, 2022 at Tri-Star Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN. Born September 7, 1930 in Summer Shade she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Tommie Witty Crumpton. She was the widow of Charles William Isenberg. They were married 69 years.

   She worked as a Summer Shade school cook, Mallory’s and was a member of the Summer Shade Missionary Church.

   She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (John) Coulter, Glasgow; one sister Juanita Dubree, Edmonton; two grandsons, Chris (Allyson) Isenberg, Burkesville and Brian (Christina) Isenberg, Franklin, KY;  three great grandchildren, Hadeon, Alax and Samuel Isenberg; and her beloved pet, Sweetie Pie.

   Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents was one son, Joe Neal Isenberg and four brothers.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Ricky Huff officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, January 10, 2022 , 3:00-7:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at !:00.
