Edward Earl “Buddy” Gentry, age 69, of Summer Shade, died February 3, 2016, at the
Born January 23,
1947, in Summer Shade, KY. He was a son
of the late John Edward and Matry Huffman Gentry, and the husband of Debbie
Jones Gentry, who survives.
He was a farmer and
of the Methodist faith.
Survivors in
addition to his wife include two daughters, Tonya ( Jimmy) Edwards, Glasgow and Nicole Gentry,
Summer Shade. Three grandchildren, Bo
(Carey) Edwards, Cody Edwards and Jaycie Edwards and great grandson, Jack
Edwards. He is also survived by step-children, Brandi Lawson, Neil Lawson both
of Summer Shade. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents,
he was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Gentry, Mary Garrett, and
Betty Thompson.
Funeral services will
be Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 12:00
noon at the funeral home. Visitation starting Feb 5, at 2:00 pm till 8:00 pm
and Saturday 7:00 am till funeral time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Summer Shade Voluntary Fire Dept.
