Otha Donald Parke, age 83 of Summer Shade, died Thursday, October 25 at the Monroe Co. Medical Center. He was a retired farmer and was a son of the late Clyde and Edalene Spears Parke. He was a member of the Missionary Mound Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Eva Pearl Hayes Parke; one daughter, Shirley Parke; two sons, Jerry (Leisa) Parke and Tommy Parke all of Summer Shade; three grandchildren, Jeremy Parke, Jenny Heckel and Jessie Semon; three great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Edalene Spears Parke.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 29 at1:00 PM at the Missionary Mound Baptist Church,with Bro. Dale Copas and Bro Andy Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Missionary Mound Cemetery.
Visittion will begin Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home and continue through Sunday. Visitation will begin Monday at 10:00 AM at the church until funeral time.
Memorials may be made to the Missionary Mound Church or Cemetery.
