PAUL SHELBY GARRETT

Paul Shelby Garrett, age  81 of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Metcalfe Co.Health Care Center.  He was a son of the late Henry and Meda White Garrett and was a member of the Goodson Chapel Methodist Church.  He was a retired Auto Body mechanic and was a Veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by two daughters, Rendy (Ronnie Joe) Perkins of Glasgow and Marketta Acree of Edmonton;  five sons, Steve (Sandy) Garrett of Glasgow, Kenny(Sheryl) Garrett of Mt.Hermon, Mark (Alicia)Garrett of Summer Shade, Mike (Jamie) Garrett of Summer Shade and Tony Garrett of Glasgow;  grandchildren, Mica Dubree, Trigg Perkins, Molly Caswell, Courtney Price, Jodi Dubree, Kena Flanary, Cristy Poland,  Brandy Acree, Robby Acree, Travis Garrett, Dylan Potts and McShane Garrett. great grandchildren, Wade Perkins, Jackson Dubree, Tinsley Price, Payton Flanary, Joseph Dubree, Scout Thompson, Drake Poland, Kenley Acree, Preslie Acree and Trace Flanary.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gentry Garrett,  son, Don Robin Garrett, sister, Nancy  Garrett, and brothers, James, Pete and Carl Garrett.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 2 at 1:00 PM at the Goodson Chapel Methodist Church with Bro. Neil Jeffries officiating.  Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Chapter 20 of  the Glasgow DAV.
Visitation will begin Friday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the church.
McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MARGARET HELEN GOODE

Margaret Helen Goode, age 81 of Glasgow, formerly of the Slick Rock Community, died Monday, May 21 at the NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was a daughter of the late Bruce and Nannie Pedigo Morgan.  She was a retired employee of Mallory's and was a member of the Mt.Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one son, Billy Goode and wife,Pam of Haywood;  two daughters,Loretta Hall of Gallatin,Tn;  and Joyce Belcher of Glasgow;  nine grandchildren, Gloria Smith, Sandra Belcher,
Bradley Goode, Brandon Goode, Kristina Casteel, Todd Walbert, Rodney Walbert, Leslie Hurt and Jeremy Walbert; fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her bushand, Lacy B. Goode,  a daughter,
Debora Wells,  one sister,Lillian Morgan and one brother, Cecil Morgan,  two great, great grandsons, Richard Cornelius Wheeler and Matthew Patrick Casteel.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 24 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Eaton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union # 2 Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, May 23 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Walker

Elizabeth Walker, infant daughter of Christy and Kelly Walker of Cave City, was born and died May 10 2012, at the T J Samson Community Hospital.
There were no services, as cremation was chosen.
McMurtrey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Roy Brewster

Roy Brewster, 84 of Edmonton, died Friday, May 11 at home.  He was a son of the late Andy and Nanny Westmoreland Brewster and was  retired from farming and Scotties Construction. .
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Melton Brewster;  five daughters, Patty Dodson and husb and Bob of  Indiana, Sue Froedge, Donna Gonzales and husband, Art, Martha Claywell and Carol Bragg and husband, Dennis;  five sons, Ronnie Brewster, Jeff Brewster, Tim Brewster and wife,Melinda;  Chris Brewster and wife, Becky and Jessie Brewster;  two brothers, Bill Brewster and Ray Brewster and wife, Betty;  28 grandchldren, 38 grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to hiis parents, he was preceded in death by one sister,Florence Dicken;  bros. Thomas, Claude, Albert  and Otie Brewster;  grandchildren, Logan Taylor Brewster and Andy Lynn Brewster.
A private service will be held at a later date.
McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JIMMY DAVID " SNAKE " NORRIS

JIMMY DAVID "SNAKE ' NORRIS, AGE 64,  of  Tompkinsville, died Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at St.Thomas Hospital in Nashville.  He was a son of the late Stanley and Odell Ballard Norris.  He was employed as a farmer and logger.
He is survived by one son, David (Kim) Norris of Tompkinsville and one daughter, Tina Norris of Tompkinsville;  four sisters, Mildred Huckelby, Linda (Carlie) Arterburn, Betty (Don) Muse and Phyllis Muse all of Tompkinsville:  four brothers, Larry (Janie )  Norris of  Orlinda, Tn., Travis Norris and Russell (Vermal) Norris both of Tompkinsville and Phillip Norris of Summer Shade. five grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death  by brothers, Alton, Darrell Wayne and Marvin Norris and sister Joyce Blankenship.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 11 at 3:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Thursday, May 10 at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

RAYMOND DALE LESTER

Raymond Dale Lester, age 62 of Willow Shade, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Cumberland Co.Hospital. He was a son of the late Murl and Rena Bell Shaw Lester and was a member of the Willow Shade Church of Christ.
He is survived by one brother, Harold "Brownie"Lester and wife,Lois of Willow Shade;  two nieces, Angie Lester and Tammy Highfill;  two nephews, Chad Lester and Kevin Lester;  several great nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10 at 11:00 A.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Richardson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, May 9 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
