MARY MILDRED HUFF GRISSOM

Mary Mildred Huff Grissom, age 64 of Shepherdsville, died Monday, July 30, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.  She was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Slaughter Huff and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Grissom;  one sister,Roberta Ann (Bert ) Snyder of Bowling Green and two brothers, Jerry Lee Huff of Bowling Green and Ronnie (Mona ) Huff of Louisville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, James and Alice Grissom and one half Brother, Jimmy Slaughter.
Funeral services will be Thursday,August 2, at l:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Grissom officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

BETTY L. MABBITT

Betty L. Mabbitt, age 70, formerly of Summer Shade, died July 25, 2012 in Atlanta, Ga.  She was a daughter of the late Maxwell and Beulah Turner Mabbitt of Illinois and was a member of Cornerstone Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Jill Clatterbuck of Jackson, Ga. and one son,Jeff Clatterbuck also of Jackson, Ga;  two grandchildren, Randy Clatterbuck and Natalie Lanier;  three sisters, Jackie Puetz,  Juel Harris and Nancy ( Roscoe ) Martin all of In;  three brothers, Robert (Treva ) Mabbitt, Richard (Lexie) Mabbitt and Bill (Terry ) Mabbitt all of Illinois.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michell Clatterbuck and Eric Taylor,  brothers, Pete and Rudy Mabbitt and one sister, Mary Pasco.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 29 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation  will begin Saturday, July 28 at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

RALPH ALRIED HICKS

RALPH ALRIED HICKS, age 85 of Glasgow, died Thursday, July 26 at the T J Samson Community Hospital.  He was a retired truck driver and son of the late Charlie and Anna Criswell Hicks. He was a member of the Trinity Southern Baptist Church of Indiana.
He is survived by five daughters, Frances (Ed) Adkins of Temple Hill, Barbara (Darrell) Hurt of Summer Shade, Sheila (Mike) Wix of In., Nita (Steve) Campbell of Prestonburg, and Sylvia Davidson of Glasgow;  four sons, Bobby (Sue) Hicks, Louie (Karen) Hicks, Paul (Sondra) Hicks and Roger (Charity) Hicks all of In., one brother, Glenn Hicks of In., 20 grandchildren and several great and great, great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Luzadie Hicks, one son, Roy Hicks, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 28 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Dexter Bacon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, July 27 at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Beaumont Cemetery.

MAMIE LOUISE BIRGE McINTYRE

Mamie Louise Birge McIntyre, age 73 of Summer Shade, died Thursday, July 12  at the U of L Hospital in Louisville.  She was a daughter of the late Elbert Tom and Clara Vance Birge.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jessie McIntyre;  one daughter, Bonita ( Jason) Poore of Glasgow;  one brother, Howard (Evie ) Birge of Austin Tracy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Barry McIntyre, sisters, Irma Copas, Lois England, and brothers, Ewell, Horace, Mervin, Lee and Edgar Birge.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 15 at 2:00 PM at the White Chapel with Bro. Taylor Wilson  officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery.

RAYMOND EUGENE BITNER

Raymond Eugene Bitner, age 87 of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Cumberland Co. Hospital.  He was a son of the late Earnest Ray and Ota Shope Bitner and was an Army Veteran of WW II.  He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Cumberland  Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Jean Nunn and Patty Hurt both of Summer Shade;  grandchildren, Melissa (Kelly) Moss, Gina (Brad) Rutledge, Marla (Tony) Hicks, Ginger (Aaron) Witherspoon, Selena (Richard) Callaghan and Sarah (Scotty) Hutcheson;  greatgrandchildren, Haley and Elyda Hicks, Elizabeth Oglesby and Austin Rutledge, Brittany and Madison Callaghan, Alexis and Mason Hutcheson, Autumn and Audrey Moss and Ayden and Zoe Witherspoon;   three sisters, Mary Shive of Edmonton, Melba Stohl and Naomi Rippy of Tipton, In.;  three brothers, Max (Dot) Bitner, Bill (Elizabeth) Bitner and Earl Dane Bitner all of Kempton, In.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Shive Bitner, two sons-in-law, Robert Nunn and Jack Hurt and one brother, Lester Bitner.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 13 at 11:00 AM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Timmy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Glasgow Chapter 20 of the DAV.
Visitation will begin Thursday, July 12 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
