Freddie Wayne Shaw

 

 

   Freddie Wayne Shaw, age 65, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his residence.

   Born in Burkesville, KY he was a son of the late Raymond and Mammie Ellen Shaw. He worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Mt Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.

   Survivors include two daughters, Lora Ellen Shaw, Tompkinsville and Hannah Marie (Tyler) Walbert, Glasgow; one sister JoAnn Walters, Glasgow; two grandchildren, Torri Stinson, Laken Walbert, and another granddaughter due in August, Catherine Grace Walbert; the mother of his children, Marilyn Hammer Shaw; and several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

   Preceding him in death besides his parents, were one daughter, Brittany Danielle Shaw and four brothers, Wendell, Gale (Goober), Roger, and Jerry Donald Shaw.

   Funeral services will be Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Willie Bunch officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 26, 2021, 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral fund.

Clarke Bradley Nelson Jr

 

 

   Clarke Bradley Nelson Jr, age 68, of Edmonton, KY passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at Barren County Nursing Home.

   Born July 14, 1952 in San Antonia, TX, he was a son of the late Clarke Nelson Sr and Nancy Moor Nelson, who survives.  He worked as an airplane mechanic.

   Survivors include one daughter, Melinni Boca, FL; three loving sisters; one grandchild Dave Castille;  friends, Rita K Shaw and Ken Teed; and other loving family.

  He was preceded in death, besides his father by his wife Joan A Nelson.

   Cremation was chosen.

   McMurtrey Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mary Louise Branham Rose

  

   Mary Louise Branham Rose, age 80, of Glasgow, passed away Friday, June 11, 1921 at T J Samson Hospital.

   Born February 1, 1941 in Burkesville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Branham and Ruby White Branham Anderson, who survives.

   She had worked at Mallory’s and of the Church of Christ faith.

   Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn (Jerry) Fields, Manchester, KY, Sharon (Todd) Oliver, Glasgow, Hannah (Timmy) Lloyd, Summer Shade, and Pat Beauchamp, Glasgow; one son, Wayne (Karen) Rose, Glasgow; 5 sisters, Runell Davidson, Glasgow, Peggy Meredith, Brownsville, Nancy Robinson, Glasgow, Sadie Phelps, Scottsville, and Regina Cummings, Glasgow; one brother, Richard Branham, Edmonton;  11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

   Preceding her in death besides her father, was her husband John Robert (Bob) Rose; three sisters, Fay Jennings, Hilda Baker, and Rejina Branham and one granddaughter, Cheyenne Lloyd.

    Funeral services will be Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Mark Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mud Camp Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 13, 2021, 1:00-6:00 P.M. and on Monday, June 14, 2021 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral fund
