JAMES WESLEY WADE







James Wesley Wade,age 88 of  Summer Shade, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his home. He was a well known farmer, a life long resident of Summer Shade and was a member of the Summer Shade Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late Pauline Atkinson Wade and Gilliam Wade. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Rebecca and Dorothy Wade.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Emma Jean Hays Wade;  two sons, Mike (Elaine )Wade, Mark (Vickie ) Wade all of Glasgow, one daughter, Jill (Joe) Wade Smith of Columbia,Ky; six grandchildren, J.R. (Megan ) Wade, Bowling Green, Allen Wade of Owensboro, Wesley Wade, Nashville,Tn., Whitney Wade, Athens,Georgia, Taylor Smith of Columbia, Andrew Wade, Glasgow;  two great grandsons, James Eli Wade and John Miller Wade of Bowling Green; one brother, Harold Wade of Harriman, Tn. and two nieces.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 23, at 2:00 PM at the Summer Shade Baptist Church with Bro Chad White officiating.  Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22 from 2:00 to 8:30 P M at the Summer Shade Baptist Church.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Summer Shade Baptist Church.
McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jeffrey H England


Jeffrey H. England, age 57 of Edmonton, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at his home.. He was a truck driver and son of the late Dwight England and Margaret Ileen Chapman. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines,a Viet Nam Veteran, a member of Edmonton Post 6281 VFW, Ky Colonel and a member of the Patriot Guard.
He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Foster of Scottsburg, In. mother Margaret C. Miller two sisters, Marla Cahill (Ivan Arney) of Guston, Ky. and Patti England Smith, two brothers Ricky Joe England of Indiana and David England of Madison, N.C. two aunts Ollie Branstetter of Glasgow and Sue England of Tn. and three grandaughters and step-mother Virginia England.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Hastel and Brentz England.

Commital services will be Friday, May 17 at 11:00 CST at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central , 2501 North Dixie Blvd. Radcliff,Ky.

Visitation will begin Thursday, May 16 at 2:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with a VFW program at 7:00 P.M.

WILLARD ( BILL ) BREWSTER

Willard (Bill) Brewster, age 92 of Edmonton, died Monday, May 6 at the T J Samson Community Hospital.  He was a farmer and a son of the late Andy and Nanny Westmoreland Brewster.  He was a Veteran of WW 2.
He is survived by one son, Roger (Nancy) Brewster of Florida; one brother, Ray (Betty )Brewster of Summer Shade;  grandchildren,  Jerry Brewster,Jr.  William Daniel Brewster,  Amy Lynn Brewster;  great grandchildren,  Tylor Brewster,  Zachary Brewster, Jeremy Vettraino,  Brooklyn and Jessica Thomas,  Branden and Chad Kessinger and Ashley and Megan Waugh;  nieces and nephews,  Sue Froedge, Patty Dodson and Tim Brewster.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Ooten Brewster, as well as one sister, Florence Dickens and four brothers, Claude, Albert, Odie and Roy Brewster.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 9 at 2:00 P M at the Happy Valley Memorial Garden in Glasgow.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 A M to 1:30P M at the McMurtrey Funeral Home.

Elzie Lee (Big Dee) Lawson


Elzie (Big Dee) Lawson, age 65 of Nobob, died Sunday May 5, 2013 at the Palace in Red Boling Springs, Tenn.
He was a farmer and the son of Elzie Mitchell Lawson and Alline C. Miller Lawson White.
He is survived by four brothers, Freddie, Mike (Becky) Lawson, Gary (Mary) Lawson of Summer Shade and Larry (Chop) (Doris) Lawson of Glasgow, two sisters Rita (Randy) Anderson and Anita Lawson both of Summer Shade as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by brothers Sandy and Randall Lawson
Visitation will begin Tuesday May 7, 2013 at 1:00 at the McMurtrey Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at the White Cemetery Chapel in Sulphur Lick on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 1:00 with burial to follow in the White Cemetery.
