KATHRYN LOUISE TYLER DARRIN




   Kathryn Louise Tyler Darrin, 82, of Summer Shade, died Friday, December 28, 2018 at T J Samson Hospital.

   Born August 8, 1936 in Pulteney, New York, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Nellie Gowin Tyler, and the wife of 66 years to Frank Darrin, who survives.

   She was a vineyardist and of the protestant faith.

   Survivors other than her husband, include 2 daughters, Karen (Tom) Deegan, Waterview and Cindy Doyen, Summer Shade; one son, Randy Darrin, Bath, New York; three sisters; three brothers; numerous grandchildren: numerous great grandchildren; and one great great grandson on the way.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents by two sons.

   Services will be held in New York at a later date.

   McMurtrey Funeral Home is assisting the family locally.

Robert Eugene DeWeese


   Robert Eugene DeWeese, 77, Glasgow, died at his residence, Tuesday, December 25, 2018.

   Born December 31, 1940 in Randolph he was a son of the late Joe and Rosey Reece DeWeese and the husband of 50 years of the late Janette DeWeese. He was a mechanic and of the Baptist faith.

   Survivors include 4 daughters, Paula (Robert) Humphrey, Pamela McKenzie, Melinda DeWeese all of Glasgow and Sheila Lawson, Scottsville; two sons Timmy DeWeese, Glasgow and Chris (Mary)  DeWeese, Summer Shade; two half sisters, Kim Goodwin and Becky (Larry) Anderson both of Summer Shade; two brothers, Roger DeWeese and Wendell (Maria) DeWeese of Summer Shade; one half brother Joey DeWeese, Summer Shade;  thirteen grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death, besides his wife and parents, by a daughter Debbie Hagan, a son Mike DeWeese, a grandson Robert Logan DeWeese-Taylor, two brothers Donald Joe and Jerry DeWeese and one sister Betty Dean.

   Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Eugene Johnson and Brother Roger Poynter, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2018, 10:00 AM-8:00 PM and on Friday after 7:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.

Ronald Lloyd Chandler


  Ronald Lloyd Chandler, age 61, of Edmonton died December 19, 2018 at his residence.

  Born in Florida, he was a son of the late James and Olis Mae Taylor Chandler. He was a musician and played most of his life.

  He is survived by his companion of forty one years Dorothy Smithson; two daughters, Teresa Glover and Mary Hynick; of Florida,  two sisters; Elizabeth Atkinson and Karen Gilbert, one brother Russell Chandler and five grandchildren.

  In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by one brother Sonny Chandler.

  A memorial service will be held at a later date as cremation was chosen.

Stanley Perkins


  
  Stanley Lee (Bun) Perkins, age 79 of Summer Shade died December 16, 2018 at Norton’s Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.

  Born in Summer Shade, he was a son of the late Denzil and Audrey Pedigo Perkins. He was a well driller especially water wells.

  He is survived by his wife Kay Rutledge Perkins, three sisters Carolyn (Tim) Turner of Florida, Virginia Perkins of Glasgow and Kim Perkins of Edmonton; one brother Jeff (Kim) Perkins of Hiseville. In addition he is survived by several nieces and nephews and one special niece Amiee Lee Perkins and one sister in law Lanna Perkins.

  Funeral arrangements will be Wednesday December 19th at 1:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

  Visitation will be Tuesday December 18, 2018 from 3:00 till 8:00 and after 7:00 on Wednesday until funeral services at 1:00.

  Memorials are encouraged to the Summer Shade Fire Department and can be left at the funeral home.

Lora Lee Ferguson


   Lora Lee Ferguson, 51, Summer Shade, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville.

   Born June 26, 1967 in Tompkinsville, KY, she was the daughter of Evelyn Murley Ferguson, Summer Shade, who survives and the late Leland Ferguson.

   She had worked in several sewing factories and  was of  the Church of Christ faith.

   Survivors other than her mother include her fiancĂ© Kenneth Jackson, Summer Shade and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

   She was preceded in death besides her father by her grandparents, Elbert and Mary Ferguson and Raymond and Dolly Murley.

   Funeral services will be Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Brian Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 15, 2018, 3:00-8:00 PM and on Sunday, December 16, 2018 after 8:00 AM until time of services at 2:00.

LENNA MARIE BROWN


   Lenna Marie Brown, 87, Dubre, KY, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Cumberland County Hospital.

   Born April 8, 1931 in Persimmon she was the daughter of the late Fowler and Roxie Harper Brown.  She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.

   Survivors include three sisters, Melba Murley, Glasgow, Mary Thurman, Edmonton, and Janet (Lonnie) Parke, Dubre; three brothers Robert Brown, Dubre, Linvell Ovelle (Mary) Brown, Summer Shade and Glen (Jane) Brown, Dubre; and numerous nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents, by one brother Wendell Brown.

   Funeral services will be Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1, 2018, 2:00-8:00 PM and on Sunday, December 2, 2018 after 8:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM.

WALLACE DUBRE






   William Wallace Dubre, 89, Dubre, KY, died Monday, November 26, 2018 at Monroe County Medical Center.

   Born September 11, 1929, in Dubre, KY he was the son of the late Glennie T and Velma Mae Spear Dubre. He was the husband of the late Ruby Glaydell Dubre.

   He was a farmer and saw mill operator and a member of the Marrowbone Church of Christ.

  Survivors include one son, Watson Dubre, Dubre; one daughter, Kathy Kay (Michael) Alexander, Nebraska; seven grand children, Maria Alexander, Wesley Joe Dubre, Misty Ann Batdorf, April Copas, Dustin Alexander, Lacey Kerr and Brad Dubre; 19 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death besides his wife and parents by his twin brother Wesley Watson Dubre and one great grandchild Lydia Brooke Kerr.

   Funeral services will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Sam Dick officiating. Burial will follow in the Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2018, 2:00-8:00 PM and on Friday, November 30, 2018 after 7:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM.

OPAL SNEED COOMER




   Opal Sneed Coomer, 84, Edmonton died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Metcalfe Health Care Center.

   Born April 9, 1934 in Colombia, Kentucky she was a daughter of the late Sally Frances Moore and Charlie Sneed. She was the widow of Frank Alfred Coomer.

   She retired from Sorenson and was of the Baptist faith.

   Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Coomer and Norman (Melissa) Coomer, both of Edmonton; one brother Ralph Sneed, Edmonton; 8 grandchildren, Michelle (Alan) Bradshaw, Jeremy  [Mo] (Jennifer) Coomer, Angie (Davey) Green, Sierra Coomer, Maranda (Ethen) Pierce, Mary Coomer, Matthew Coomer and Ryan Kilgore.; and 20 great grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death besides her husband and parents by one son Richard [Red] Coomer and one sister Ruth Cape.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Freddie Froedge officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, November 26, 2018, 4:00-8:00 PM and on Tuesday after 7:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Moore Cemetery.

PENNY GAIL HAGAN


   Penny Gail Hagan, 56, of Glasgow, died Thursday, November 22, 2018 at NHC in Glasgow.

   She was the daughter of the late Lillian Harper Bray and Roy Hagan. She worked as a sewing machine operator and was a member of the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church.

   Survivors include one brother Terry (Laura Jeanie) Hagan, Glasgow; one sister Mahala Lane, Edmonton; two nephews, Josh Bray and Gregory Edmiston; three nieces McKenzie (Dominic Jones) Hagan, Madison Hagan and Lilly Kate Lane; and two great nieces Kehlina Jones and Kaveah Jones.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents by a special friend Rikki.

   Funeral services will be Monday, November 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2018, 5:00-9:00 PM and on Monday after 7:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.

JOE NEAL ISENBERG




   Joe Neal Isenberg, 70, of Harrison, PA, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Allegheny Valley Hospital. 

   Born June 21, 1948, in Summer Shade, he was a son of the late Charles Isenberg and Emogene Crumpton Isenberg, Summer Shade, who survives. He was the husband of Michelle Mattioli Isenberg who survives.

   He was a consultant in telephone communications and a member of the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church.

      Survivors other than his wife and mother, include two sons, Chris Isenberg, Burkesville and Brian (Tina) Isenberg, Franklin, KY; one daughter Krista Isenberg, Nashville; one sister, Becky (John) Coulter, Glasgow; one grandchild, Hadeon Isenberg; and one step grandchild, Alex Isenberg.

   He was preceded in death, besides his father, by his grandparents Lanus and Ruby Isenberg and Arthur and Tommie Crumpton.

   Funeral services will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Don Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2018, 2:00-8:00 P.M. and on Saturday, November 24, 2018 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M.

Larry (Porky) Powell



Larry Eudene (Porky) Powell, age 59, of Beaumont, died November 20, 2018 at his residence

Born October 30, 1959 to the late Lucian and Opal Wray Powell and was the husband of Judy Lynn Brown Powell who survives.

Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter Melissa (Steven) Lee of Cave City and one son Larry Mark Benjamin Elgin (Brandy) Powell of Summer Shade; two brothers Jimmy (Delsie) Powell of Burkesville and Johnny (Cheryl Denice) Powell of Albany; three grandchildren Jubilee Marie Powell, Larry Eudene Benjamin Clyde Powell, and Cleopatra (Cleo) Powell.

In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by two brothers Ronnie Powell and Billy Powell.

Funeral services will be Sunday November 25, 2018 – 2:00 pm at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Powell Family Farm.

Visitation will be Saturday November 24 beginning at 4:00 pm and on Sunday November 25, 2018 from 8:00 till service time of 2:00 pm.

Phyllis Ann Conkright Richardson




   Phyllis Ann Richardson, 70, Summer Shade, Ky died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her residence.

   Born December 14, 1947 in Crawfordsville, IN she was a daughter of the late Chester and Arletta Harter Conkright. She was the wife of Carl Richardson, who survives.

   She had worked as a custodian in the education system and was of the Pentecostal faith.

   Survivors other than her husband include one daughter Paula (Brian) Huff, Fishers IN; one step daughter Autumn Swearingen; two sons, John Malek, Crawfordsville, IN and Dan Malek, Crawfordsville, IN; two sisters Patty Proctor, Waynetown, IN and Sue Graves, Crawfordsville, IN; one brother Bill Conkright, South Carolina; eleven  grandchildren; Josh, Derrek, Coty, Dakota, Austin and Kaylee Malek, Orion Fusco, Chelcie Bare, Jordin Kirkpatrick, and Devyan Swearingen and eight great grandchildren; Corbin, Caiden, Nora, Rhett, Tucker and Noah Malek, Wyatt and Kristofer Bare.

   Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Bob Jr., Billy and Brian Malek, grandchildren Destiny and Stella Huff and Randi Swearingen; brothers Jimmy Conkright and Tommy Conkright; and sisters Laura Conkright and Judy Black.

   Graveside services will be held Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown IN.

William Edward Lollar




 William Edward Lollar, age 76 of Summer Shade, Ky. died Sunday October 14, 2018 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

  He was a son of Sammie and Mable Odell Humes Lollar. He retired from Kingsford Manufacturing and was of the Christian faith.

  He is survived by two daughters Debra Richards and Gwendolyn Lollar of Indiana, three sisters Exie Vance and Barbie Lollar of Summer Shade and Donna White of Celina, three brothers Mitchell Lollar of Summer Shade, Ricky Lollar of Glasgow and Chris Lollar of Edmonton, seven grandchildren Jordan, Caleigh, Sidney, Joshua and David Lollar, Vanessa Driggers and Casey Dugger, six great grandchildren, Jaxson, Colton, Brooke, Kinzie, Michael and Kennedy.

  In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by one son Michael Lollar and two sisters Linda Arnett and Rachel Cross.

  A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 3:00 till 5:00 pm at McMurtrey Funeral Home

CATHLEEN KINGERY BELCHER


    Cathleen Kingery Belcher, 95, Summer Shade, died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.

   Born July 12, 1923 in Summer Shade, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Stella Lane Kingery. She was the widow of the late Robert (Bob) Belcher.

   She retired from Sorenson and was a housewife. She was a member of the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church since October of 1964.  

   Survivors include, one daughter, Sheila (Jerry) Chandler, Tompkinsville; two sisters, Emma Carter and Margie Giescke, both of Louisville; one daughter in law Linda Belcher (Dwayne) Wray, Summer Shade; five grandchildren, Valerie (Brandon) Mesker, Summer Shade, David (Rendy) Belcher, Mt. Hermon, Jeremy (Chrissy) Chandler, Lexington, Paul (Erika) Chandler, Louisville, and Thomas (Terri) Chandler, Gamaliel; five great grandchildren, Austyn and Addisyn Belcher, Ella, Isaac, and Anna Chandler and Taylor and Tori Chandler.

   She was preceded in death besides her husband, by one son, Bobby Belcher, one sister Christine Harry, and two brothers, Paul and Mitchell Kingery.

   Funeral services will be Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church, with Brother Chad Harston officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2018, 2:00-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday, October 14, 2018, 8:00- 12:30 at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church Sunday after 1:00 P.M.  until time of services at 2:00.

GREGORY (GREG) PAUL MOSBY




   Greg Mosby, 50, Summer Shade, passed on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 as a result of a logging accident.

   Born September 24, 1968, in Glasgow, he was a son of the late Paul Mosby and Kathy Davis Beard. He was the husband of Theda Simpson Mosby, who survives.

   He was a logger.

   He leaves behind to honor his memory, besides his wife,  three daughters, Hali (Jamie) York, Summer Shade, Latasha (Shelby Bailey) Mosby, Glasgow and Gretchen Mosby, CA; one son, Gregory Sawyer Mosby, Summer Shade; one step daughter, Sidney England, Summer Shade; one step son Sabashtyn Bunch, Summer Shade; one brother, Scotty (Jessica) Mosby, Center; three grandchildren, Gracie, Macie, and Sophie Bailey; Grandmother Marie Mosby Fields;  two uncles Don (Veronica) Perkins and Ronnie (Patricia) Mosby;

and step father, Larry Beard.

   He was preceded in death besides his parents by his grandfather, Morris Mosby.

   Funeral services will be Sunday, October 7, 2018, 2:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 6, 2018, 1:00-8:00 PM and on Sunday, October 7, 2018, after 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM, time of the service.

  Glen Darrell Muse, 65, Tompkinsville, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at Signature Health Care.

 Born July 10, 1953 in Tompkinsville, he was a son of the late Luther and Evie Pruitt Muse. He had worked at Red Capp and was of the Church of Christ faith.

   Survivors include one son, Charles Glen Muse, Tompkinsville; two sisters, Carolyn Sue (Rodney) Ford, Glasgow and Zella Sickman, Glasgow; three brothers, Barry Muse Jr, Sparta, TN, Roy Muse, Glasgow and Donald Muse, Tompkinsville; two grandchildren, Mason and Keely Muse; and the mother of his child, Phyllis Norris.

   He was preceded in death besides his parents, by three brothers, James Earl Muse, Wayne Thomas Muse and Charles Edgar Muse; and one sister Mildred Rouse.

   Funeral services will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Hershel Cyphers officiating. Burial will follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018, 3:00-8:00 PM and on Thursday, after 7:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.

ALBERT JUNIOR WALKER




   Albert Junior Walker, 73, Summer Shade, died September 26, 2018 at Hospice House of Southern KY.

  Born February 20, 1945 in Celina, TN, he was a son of the late Nettie Short Walker.  He was raised by his aunt and uncle the late Jack and Vad Spears. He was the husband of Shirley Page Walker, 54 years, who survives. They were married July 25, 1964.

   He was a farmer, avid hunter, and fisherman. He was a member of Refuge Church of Christ.

   Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Teresa Furlong, Summer Shade and Christie (James) Thompson, Summer Shade; two brothers, James Walker and Joe Walker both of IN; three grandchildren, Miranda Furlong, Allyson and Michael Trent Thompson; special friend Brandi Clark; and special cousin, Mary Frazier.

   He was preceded in death besides his parents by three sisters, Estellene Deckard, Christine Spears, and Shirley Hessman; two brothers Bertie Walker and Paul Walker; and his son in law Barry Furlong.

   Funeral services will be Friday, September 28, 2018, 2:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Brother Danny Wyatt will be officiating; Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2018, 3:00-8:00 PM and on Friday, after 7:00 AM until time of services.

ERVIN WENDELL SHIRLEY




   Ervin Wendell Shirley, 74, Horse Cave, KY died September 25, 2018 at his residence.

   Born December 13, 1943 in Summer Shade, KY, he was a son of the late Tom and Alice Moore Shirley.

   He was a truck driver and retired from Purnell’s Country Sausage in Shelbyville, KY.

He was a member of the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church.

   Survivors include one daughter, Martina Shirley, Shelbyville, KY; three sisters, Choteel Gibson, Bowling Green, KY, Mable  (John) Taylor, Dayton, OH, and Lounell Brown, Dayton, OH; two brothers, Clyde Shirley, Summer Shade, KY and Leanis (Annie Mae) Shirley, Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Shirley; two brothers, Cletis Shirley and Leon Shirley; and two sisters, Anna Belle Taylor and Emma Jean Barlow.

   Funeral services will be Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church, Summer Shade Church Road, at 2:00 PM. Brother Ronnie Bryant will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lane Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, 2018, 10:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM.

   Stella Mae Terry Clover, 80, Summer Shade, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at T J Samson Hospital.

   Born May 31, 1938 in Mousie, KY she was a daughter of the late William and Raney Conley Terry and the wife of Calvin Clover, who survives.

   She was a homemaker.

   Survivors, other than her husband, include four daughters, Susan Parks, Jeffersonville, IN, Sandra Worthington, Louisville, Sonia (Timothy) Brown, Jeffersonville, IN and Shirley Nash, Bowling Green; one son, Steven (Nancy) Parks, Summer Shade; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

   A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018, 3:00 PM at Harvey White Cemetery.

Hilda Mae Branham Baker


   Hilda Mae Branham Baker, 72, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at her residence.

   Born July 7, 1946 in Burkesville, KY, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Richard Branham and Ruby Anderson, Glasgow, who survives.

   She was a homemaker.

   Survivors other than her mother, include two daughters, Ruby Gail Baker, Glasgow and Tina (William) Anderson, Glasgow; one son, Joe Baker. Franklin, KY; five sisters, Runelle Davidson, Louise Rose, Peggy Meredith, Sadie Phelps and Nancy Robinson; seven grandchildren, Catalina Baker, Carlee Jo Baker, Ben Norris, Brandy Anderson, Tia Anderson, Doug Baker and Michael Ray Baker; and 9 great grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death besides her father, by one sister, Helen Faye Jennings and her stepfather Dempsey Anderson.

   Cremation was chosen by the family. A memorial will be held at a later date.

   Dora Lois Lynn Whitlow, 65, of Dubre, died Monday, September 10, 2018 at her residence.

   Born December 30, 1952 in Willow Shade, KY she was a daughter of the late Hilda Hurt Lynn. She was the wife of James Malcolm Whitlow, who survives.

   She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.

   She was preceded in death besides her mother by one daughter, Jennifer Carol Gore, one son, Malcolm Whitlow, one sister, Martha Copas, one brother, Paul Ballard, and one granddaughter, Dora Ann Whitlow.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Darrell Bartley officiating. Burial will follow in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 1:00-8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, after 7; 00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.

Joe Wayne Gossett


   Joe Wayne Gossett, 85, of Summer Shade, died Monday, September 10, 2018 at T J Samson Hospital.

   Born October 7, 1932 in Summer Shade, he was a son of the late Urey and Lillie Nunnally Gossett. He was the husband of Gertie Lougene Shive Gossett, who survives. They were married 64 years.



   He was a carpenter, farmer and former owner of Shirts and More. He was a Navy veteran.

   Other than his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Clay) Scott, Scottsville and Rhonda (Steve) Thompson, Center; one brother William (Liz) Gossett, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Nathan (Sharna) Acree, Ashley (Daniel) Gallagher, Sarah Scott, Tara (Travis) Wright, and Kayla (Joseph) Eaton; and eight grandchildren Tanner, Trigg, and Jenna Acree, Griffin and Grayson Gallagher, Bryson and Saylor Wright, and Allie Jo Eaton.

   Funeral services will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Richard Lile officiating. Burial will follow in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2018, 3:00-8:00 PM and on Friday after 7:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.

   Jessie Thomas Russell, 57, Columbia, KY, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his residence.

   Born October 16, 1960 in Tompkinsville, KY he was a son of the late Lemuel Russell and Frances Harper Russell.

   He was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Army.

   Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Russell, Columbia, KY; one son, Leslie Jessie Russell, Edmonton; one sister, Jane Russell, IN; three brothers, Jr. Russell, Joe Russell, and Jerry Russell, all of IN; and two grandchildren, Jessalynn Russell and Jaylen Russell.

   Funeral services will be Saturday, August 25, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Union # 2 Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 25, 2018, 10:00 until time of services at 1:00.

   Ruby Inez Ford Shive, 73, Glasgow, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at her residence.

   Born December 2, 1944 in Tompkinsville, KY she was a daughter of the late Will and Chloe Ford. She was the widow of the late Don Roger Shive.

   She retired from SKF and was of the Baptist faith.

   Survivors include two sons, Roger Shannon (Sherry Branstetter)  Shive, Hardyville, KY and Rickey (Monyonna) Shive, Bowling Green, KY; one step daughter, Pam (Mark) Ford, Tompkinsville; three grandchildren, Kaden Shive, Jarrod Shive, and Jannah Shive; one great grandchild, Paxton Shive; one brother Kenneth Ford; seven sisters, Joyce Embry, Bowling Green, Phyllis Pitcock, Tompkinsville, Kathryn Simpson, Tompkinsville, Runell Woodcock, Louisville, Cleo Palmore, IN, Jodean Young, IN and Jackie Anderson, Glasgow.

   She was preceded in death besides her husband and parents, by two brothers Guydell Ford and Dennis Earl Ford and three sisters, Hazel Ritter, Nora Dye and Clarene Ray.

Ruby Kathleen Turner Branham


   Ruby Kathleen Turner Branham, 84, of Summer Shade, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at T J Samson Hospital.

   Born August 15, 1933, in Marrowbone, KY, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Alice Norris Turner. She was the widow of the late Herbert (Herb) Branham. They were married April 12, 1952 and had 62 loving years together.

   She was an Avon consultant for 35 years. She was a member of the Beaumont Methodist Church.

   Survivors include, three daughters, Marilyn Page, Summer Shade, Debra (Jimmy) Coe, Tompkinsville, and Donna Branham, Summer Shade; two sisters, Dorothy (Harold) Paull, Summer Shade and Peggy Chappell, Wichita, KS;  five grandchildren, Craig Bunch, Cliff Bunch, Justin Bunch, Nina Bunch and Nikki (Scotty) Grider; one special grand child, Jon Washer;  thirteen great grandchildren, Jenna, Robert Evan, Kaylor, Virginia, Damiann, Sabashtyn, Kendall, Kaitlyn, Jackson, Landen, Payton, Callyn and Jon Waylon; and a host of nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Brance, Jess, Elton, James, Marvin, Robert, and David Turner; two sisters Eula Blankenship and Era Shive.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery in Marrowbone. Visitation will be Sunday, August 12, 2018 2:00-8:00, Monday, August 13, 2018, 7:00-8:00, and Tuesday,

Noah Leroy (Luke) Lucas


   Noah Leroy (Luke) Lucas, 80, Edmonton, died August 9, 2018, at his residence.

   Born in Nashville, IN  he was a son of the late Paul and Violet Woods Lucas. He was the husband of Beverly Lambert Lucas, who survives.

   He was a auto mechanic teacher and a member of the Glasgow Faith Church. He was a veteran of the U S Army.

   Survivors other than his wife, include one daughter Rhonda (Scott) Auton, Franklin, IN; one step daughter Melissa (Raymond) Harper, Columbus, IN; two sons, Ronnie (Diane) Lucas, Mansfield, GA and Robbie (Gwen) Lucas, Russell Springs, Ky; two step sons Russell (Rayna)  Withers, Scottsburg, IN and  Troy (Patricia) Withers,Columbus, IN; one sister, Barbara Sietz, Ohio; two grandchildren Tish (Matt) Bailey and Cameron Lucas; and two great grandchildren Colton and Audrey Bailey.

   He was preceded in death besides his parents by his first wife Wanda Lucas and one sister Sharon Thompson.

LILLIAN GRACE STRODE HAMMER


Lillian Grace Strode Hammer, age 68, Summer Shade, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Skyline Hospital, Nashville, TN.

   Born April 3, 1950 in Tompkinsville, she was a daughter of the late Willie B and Jarene Bartley Strode and the wife of Randall Hammer. They were married 49 years.

   She worked in several factories, flower shop and Dollar Market. She was a member of the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church.

   Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Tracy Hammer, Summer Shade and Shannon Hammer, Summer Shade; two sisters, Helen Loftis, Hendersonville, TN and Martha Pitcock, Tompkinsville; two brothers Freddie Strode, Tompkinsville and Stephen Strode, Louisville; and four grandchildren Dylan, Paxton, Case, and Lincoln Hammer.

   She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by two sisters Billy Spears and Christine Strode.

   Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2018, 2:00-8:00 PM and on Saturday after 8:00 AM until time of services at 1:00.

   Teresa Gay Glass Lewis, age 55, of Glasgow, died Monday, July 13, 2018, at Signature Health Care, Glasgow.

   Born December 25, 1962, in Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Joe Elvin Glass and Ida Catherine Oliver Wood.

   She was a caregiver and of the Baptist faith.

   Survivors include one daughter Krissy Parker, Glasgow; one son, Christopher Mosby, Glasgow; one brother, Timmy (Tabitha) Glass, Glasgow; six grandchildren, Kennedy Parker, Aiden Bryant, Karter Parker, Kye Mosby, Kane Mosby, and Knox Mosby; one sister in law, Nancy Glass; and one special niece, Angie Smith.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents, by one brother, Elvin Glass and one sister, Kathy Ross.

   Funeral services will be Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Mark Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Shirley Baldock Cemetery.

   Carrie Dean Moss Jones, age 91, of Glasgow, died Sunday, July 8, 2018, at T J Samson Hospital.

   Born December 25, 1926 in Red Boiling Springs, TN, she was a daughter of the late Buford and Maggie Boone Moss. She was the widow of the late John Dillard Jones.

   She was a homemaker and a member of East Main Church of Christ, Glasgow.

   Survivors include two grandchildren, Jeremy C Jones, Glasgow and Jennifer F Jones, Glasgow; three great grandsons, Matthew Jones, Ryan Jones, and Jack Trivett; two great great grandsons, Jackson Jones and Hesston Jones; one daughter in law, Linda F Jones, Glasgow; and three brothers, Cecil (Sue) Moss, Walnut Shade, TN, Jimmy Moss, Gamaliel, and Donald (Rosalie) Moss, Red Boiling Springs, TN.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents, and husband, by one son Steven Kent Jones; one brother Fred Moss and one sister Louise Strickland.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Steve Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

   Cecil Wayne Boston, age 77, of the No Bob community, died Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his residence.

  He was the son of the late Cloise and Imogene Burgoon Boston and the husband of Carol Surratt Boston, who survives. They were married November 3, 1963.

   He was a farmer and retired from PPG in Ohio. He was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

   Survivors in addition to his wife include, one daughter Michele (Tim) Smith, Edmonton; two sisters, Anita  (Bill) Westfall and Charma ( Perry Kimberly) Boston; two brothers Ronald (Sue) Boston and Curtis Boston; one grandchild, Bethany (Thomas Orlando) Boston, Summer Shade; and one great grandchild, Grayson Orlando.

   He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by one son Michael Boston; one sister Donna Wallick and one brother Larry Boston.

   Funeral services will be Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 3:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Union # 2 Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 7, 2018 3:00-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday after 8:00 AM until time of services at 3:00.

Marcille Schwerin Wardle


Marcille Schwerin Wardle, age 91 of Edmonton died June 19, 2018 at her daughters home

She was born in Burlington, Iowa on March 24, 1927 to the late Rudolph and Ollie Westerbeck Schwerin.

She was a homemaker and of the 7th Day Adventist Faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Marcy (Raymond) Wilson of Edmonton and Nancy (Fred) Turner of McMinnville, Tn. four sons Richard Wardle of Dallas Texas, Ted Wardle of Pleasanton, Texas, Tom (Pam) Wardle of Nape, Idaho and Randy Wardle. She is also survived by nine grand children and several great grandchildren and great - great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant child Jessie, one sister JoAnn and one brother Bill.

There will be no local services as cremation was chosen.

   Case Lane Hoots, age 4 days, of Summer Shade, died June 14, 2018 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
   Born June 11, 2018 in Glasgow, he is the son of John Tristen Hoots and Felicia Ceara Marie Whitt, who survive.
      Survivors also include, three aunts Chezney Lile, Kimber Hoots, and Destiny Turner; two uncles, Corey Whitt and Josh Whitt; grandparents, Tina DeVore, Michael Whitt, Marquetta Lile, and Jason Hotts; great grandparents, Nancy Crawhorn, Danny Whitt, Johnny and Shirley Hoots; and great great grandmother, Wanda Lile.
   He was preceded in death by one sister, Ellie May Hoots, and grandparents Mark Abner and Teresa Abner.
   Private graveside services will be held later.

   Barbara Kaye Daniels Pitcock, age 66, of Burkesville, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at T J Samson Hospital.

   Born August 11, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Nancy House Daniels and the wife of Deion Pitcock, who survives.

   She had worked at Osh Gosh Factory and was of the Pentecostal faith.

   Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Rocky  and Joe David Pitcock, both of Dubre, KY; three sisters Fay Pitcock and Kim Daniels both of Burkesville, and Shirley of IN; one half brother, Bugs Crawley, Tompkinsville; and two grandchildren Lane Pitcock and Allie Jo Pitcock.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents by one sister, Sandy Hogan.

   Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Todd Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.  Visitation will begin Friday, June 8, 2018, 3:00-8:00 p.m. and after 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services at 1:00.

REVEREND WILLIAM D (BILLY) BARLOW


Reverend William D (Billy) Barlow, Summer Shade, age 84, exchanged this earthly life for eternal life at Signature Rehab and Wellness, Friday, May 18, 2018.

   Born December 10, 1933 in Summer Shade he was a son of the late Otis and Nettie Buckner Barlow. He was the husband of the late Emma Jean Shirley Barlow, who preceded him in death July 15, 1994.

   Billy was truly a faithful dedicated strong believer in Christ and showed the fruit of Spirit to anyone and everyone he came in contact with daily. He was very active in his church and community. He was pastor at SS Missionary Baptist Church for 9 years and was currently one of the associate ministers. He was truly a pillar of Summer Shade. He was past owner of Billy Electric and Plumbing Company, co-coordinator of Summer Youth Program at Summer Shade Elementary School and ballgames at ballpark. He started the CB Club and Rescue Squad, bus driver for 20 years, Metcalfe County Deputy, Metcalfe County constable for 44 years. In 1968 he received several certificates and recognition from various people and organizations. He was also in the U.S. Air Force serving 4 years and 4 years in the reserves. He made Airman 2nd Class and was honorably discharged January 31, 1960.

   Survivors include three children, Thelma (Rev. Jerry) Stockton, Glasgow, Eva (Bobby) Webb, Romulus, Michigan, and Tommy (Carol) Muncie, Horse Cave; one sister Joyce (Robert) Driver, Glasgow; three brothers Fred (Patty) Barlow, Glasgow, Leroyce (Linda) Barlow, Edmonton and Tim (Denise) Barlow, Edmonton; special friend, Jenna Marie Selbe; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends and acquaintances.

   He was preceded in death besides his wife and parents by two brothers, James D (J D) Barlow and Ollie Franklin; two sisters, Magdalene Richardson Smith and Bertha Lois Barlow; and one grandchild.

   Funeral services will be Monday, May 21, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church, Summer Shade Church Rd, Summer Shade, with Dr Ronnie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinty Lane Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2018, 12:00-9:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home and on Monday, May 21, after 8:00 a.m. at Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church until time of services at 1:00.

  Stanley Keith Abner, age 55 formerly of Glasgow died May 12, 2018 in Louisville at Baptist Health hospital.

  Born March 28, 1963 in Glasgow, Ky. he was a son of the late Stanley and Betty Glass Abner.

   He was a mechanic work and was of the Baptist faith.

   Survivors include two daughters Kasey (Brent) Rodgers and Jamie Abner of LaGrange, two sons Wesley Abner of LaGrange and Johnny (Stephanie) Emmert of Glasgow, and one brother Kevin Abner of Glasgow.         

   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson Dylan Emmert and two Brothers Ricky and Mark Abner.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday May 15, 2018 at1:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home in Summer Shade, Ky. Burial will follow in the Shirley Baldock Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 10:00 till time of services at 1:00 P.M.

   Barbara Lois Gassaway Glass, age 80, of Randolph, died Friday, May11, 2018, at her residence.

   Born September 6, 1937 in Randolph, KY, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Nellie Whitlow Gassaway and the wife of Derral Glass, who survives. They were married 62 years.

   She had been a sewing machine operator and was a member of the Hickory College Church of Christ.

   Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Patricia Wheet, Columbia and Beverly ( Donald) Bruton, Smiths Grove; two sons Don Allen (Kathy) Glass, Randolph, and Randell (Dianna) Glass, Randolph; two sisters, Laverne (Lane) Watson, Edmonton and Carolyn (Raymond) Fields, Edmonton; two brothers J W Gassaway, Glasgow and Wallace (Jane Ann) Gassaway, Summer Shade;  two sister in laws, Frances Gassaway, Glasgow, and Wanda Martin, Frankfort, IN; five grandchildren, Angela (Kyle) Schwartz, Nashville, Allen Glass, Bowling Green, John Scott, Columbia. Sara Glass, Randolph, and Daniel (Laura) Glass,  Randolph; three great grandchildren, Barrett Glass, Liam Glass, and Harrison Schwartz; special nieces Runelle Clemmons and Nickie Dubree; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sylvia Mae Huffman Allen, age 66, of Glasgow died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her residence.

   Born October 12, 1951 in Summer Shade she was a daughter of the late Beatrice Franklin and George Huffman.

   She had worked as a pharmacy tech.

   Survivors include one son, Jerry Huffman, Louisville; three sisters Lucille Staten, Glasgow, Emma Barlow, Edmonton and Nova Stone, Summer Shade; two brothers George L Huffman, Louisville and Marvin Lewis Huffman, Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death besides her parents by two sisters Laverne Tinker and Anna Huffman and one brother Leonard Huffman.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Tyler Cemetery. The wake will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 9:00-1:00, time of services.

Ruby Vellene Rouse Norman, age 74, of Tompkinsville, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Signature Health Care in Tompkinsville.

   She was born January 1, 1944 in Tompkinsville to the late Luther and Roxie May Webb Rouse. She was the widow of the late Burford Norman.

    She was a factory worker and of the Methodist faith.

   Survivors include one sister, Belle (Taylor) Wilson, Tompkinsville; one sister in law Sheila Norman, Tompkinsville; one brother in law Bob (Elaine) Norman, Pikeville, Ky; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and friends and staff at Signature Health Care.

  Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, James Rouse Norman and one sister Ellen Frances Rouse.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Calvin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Velmar Cogar




   Velmar Lee Cogar, age 76, Summer Shade,  died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

   Born May 7, 1941 in Webster Springs, West Virginia he was a son of the late Byge and Goldie Cogar and raised by the late Harry and Reva Prrine. He was the husband of the late Sherry Lynn Rice Cogar who preceded him in death August 29, 2015.

   He was a carpenter and retired from Eaton’s. He was a Christian. 

   Survivors include one daughter, Donna Cogar Mosby, Nashville; one son Jessie and his wife Karina Rosales Cogar, Bowling Green; one brother Buddy (Louise) Cogar; cousin Bobby (Darlene) Hines; seven grandchildren, Anika Mosby, Elijah Cogar, Katilyn Huntsman, Rayleigh Huntsman, Gracie Hayes , Jason Nikola Cogar and Elliot Nolan Cogar;  two great grandchildren, Aspen and Creed Lee  Cogar; and one daughter in law, Carrie Cogar.

   He was preceded in death by two sons Daniel and Jason Cogar and one sister Helen Cowger.  

   Funeral services will be Saturday, March 31, 2018  at 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home  with John Shepard officiating. Burial will follow in the Union #2 Cemetery.  Visitation will begin Friday, March 30, 2018a t 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday after 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

HUGH (PEANUT) GIBSON




   Hugh (Peanut) Gibson, age 74, Edmonton, died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at NHC in Glasgow.

   He was a son of the late George and Roxie Copes Gibson and the husband of Dorsey Kaye Crowe Gibson who survives.

   He worked at maintenance and was of the Baptist faith.

   He is survived other than his wife by one daughter, Erica Gibson, Edmonton; one sister Christine Lemons, IN; one grandchild Rinoa Cassady; several nieces and nephews:  and neighbors at Tree Top Apartments.

   He was preceded in death besides his parents by several brothers.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Joshua Grider officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m.

   The family wishes a special thank you to the staff at NHC.

Freddie Wade Wilson

   Freddie Wade Wilson, age 75, of Edmonton, died Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
   Born December 20, 1942 in Tompkinsville, Ky he was a son of the late Mose Thomas and Enna Belle Walker Wilson. He was the husband of Mary Nell Fletcher Wilson who survives.
   He had worked as a lumber stacker at several local sawmills.
   Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, Kathryn (Scotty) Bryant, Glasgow; one son, Kelvin Wade Wilson, Edmonton; one sister, Brenda Hire, Indiana; one brother, Bro. Taylor (Belle) Wilson, Tompkinsville; and two grandchildren, Trever Bryant and Landon McCandless.
   Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Kelly, Mervin and Charles Wilson and two sisters Glaydell Scott and Runelle Pruitt.
   Funeral services will be Sunday, March 18, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday, March 17, 2018, 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Sunday after 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

Donald Lee Lawson


Donald Lee Lawson, age 49, of Bowling Green, died March 12, 2018 at his residence.
   Born November 25, 1968 in Nashville, TN he was a son of the late Elvin and Maxie Wilborn Lawson and the husband of Robyn McNeal Lawson, who survives.
   He worked at Bendix in Bowling Green and was a Christian.
   Survivors other than his wife include one daughter Kaitlyn Lawson, Scottsville; three step daughters, Kelly Graham, Bowling Green, Charlee Ison, IN, and Kaylyn Ison, Bowling Green; one sister, Debbie (Ricky) Ballard, Summer Shade; four brothers, Timmy Lawson, Glasgow, Bobby Lawson, Glasgow, Jackie Wilborn, and Jimmy Wilborn, both of Tompkinsville; and eight grandchildren, Brison Lee, Donavan, Addalyn, Alexzander and Lucy Graham, Jordan Jones, Dawson Ison, and Devon Foster Jr.
   Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

Talmadge (Tab) Elton Rush




   Talmadge (Tab) Elton Rush, age 83, of Glasgow, formerly of Summer Shade, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at NHC Healthcare.

   Born November 17, 1934, in Summer Shade, he was a son of the late Ralph Kenton and Maymie Brooks Rush and the husband of Ella Taylor Rush, who survives.

   He was a Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force for 23 years. He was a member of the Beaumont Methodist Church.

   Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one son Mark (Penny) Rush, Summer Shade; three sisters, Sue Romines, Louisville, Lena Margaret Dickerson, Glasgow, and Mary (Jerry) Stephens, Naples, FL; two brothers Byron (Buddy)  [Suzanne] Rush, Louisville and Ancel (Butch) [Jolene] Rush, Bowling Green, KY; one grandchild Cody Rush; and one sister in law Marine Rush.

   He was preceded in death besides his parents by one brother Charles Rush.

   Funeral services will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Meryl Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Rush Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:oo p.m. and on Thursday, March 1, 2018 after 7:00 a.m. until time of services.

   Memorials may be made to the Rush Cemetery and left at the funeral home.

KATRINA LEE ARNETT FRAZIER




   Katrina Lee Arnett Frazier, age 55, Tompkinsville, died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her residence. Katrina was born December 10, 1962 in Tompkinsville. She was the wife of Ted Frazier, who survives.

   She worked in sewing factories and was of the Baptist faith.

   Survivors other than her husband, include one son, Matthew Bartley (Heather Barbee) Tompkinsville; one daughter, Lynn Allen, Tompkinsville; one sister, Lisa Toms, AK; and four grandchildren, Britney Allen, Heather Allen, Nolan Barbee, and RoseMary Bartley.

   She was preceded in death by one daughter Melinda Kay Frazier.

   McMurtrey Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Marcella Key


   Marcella Ann Birge Key, age 62, of Edmonton, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Metcalfe Health Care Center. Marcella was born September 24, 1955 in Indianapolis IN to the late Clifton and Christine Devine Birge.  She had worked at Eaton’s.

    Survivors include three daughters, Christina Dugard (Terry Isenberg), Summer Shade, Crystal Key, Glasgow and Brandi Robertson (Tyler) Glasgow; six grandchildren Jose Pena, Ivan Pena, Angel Canales, Alba Canales, Hayden Key, and Ryver Robertson; and one special aunt Carol Craine.

   Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Bro Chad Harston officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m.
