Marcella Ann Rich

 


Marcella Ann Rich, 84, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Willow Shade, KY, on July 7, 1941, to the late James T. and Louise Hope Vibbert.

Marcella was of the Christian faith, and she enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Rita Cheryl Glass (Chuck) of Smiths Grove, KY, Carol Hefling of Frankfort, KY and Cary Hood (Marcia) of Bowling Green, KY, Jeri Shaw (Tom), Denise Lynch (John), and Beverly Stevenson all of California; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Janice Hood of Kansas City, KS; siblings, Bobby Neal Vibbert of Summer Shade, KY, Elaine Mattingly of Lexington, KY, Ellen Jacobson of Florida; special friend, Sue Mills.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Ezra David Hood and second husband, Chester “Chet” Rich; two sons, David Craig Hood and Ezra Charles Hood; siblings, Jimmy Vibbert, John Vibbert, Gary Vibbert; and a son-in-law, Jim Hefling.

Graveside services for Mrs. Rich will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Union #2 Cemetery in Nobob, Kentucky.

McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Clay Huckelby

 



Clay Huckelby, 60, of Burkesville, KY passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN with his family by his side.  Born in Tompkinsville, KY he was the son of the late Phillip Lewis Huckelby and Betty Cleary Huckelby who survives.  Clay was a loader operator for Anderson Lumber Company over 20 years in Tompkinsville. He loved to be outdoors, fishing, hunting, riding his ATV on trails with his friends, cutting firewood and having big BBQ with his friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lisa Stidham Huckelby; one daughter Ashley Davis (Adam Huff); three grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas and Avery Davis; a special granddaughter Hailey Wray; one brother Bobby Huckleby (Deidre Patterson); nieces and nephews Kurt, Laura and Molly Huckleby, Iasac and Kason Booher; a good friend Don Gordon along with several other friends, aunts, uncles and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Dutch Creek Cemetery in Cumberland County.  Visitation will be Wednesday, from 12 noon until 8pm and on Thursday morning until time of the service.

Family request alternate expressions of sympathy be made to the McMurtrey Funeral home to help with final expenses.
