Charles Massey, Jr.

Charles Massey, Jr. age, 65, of the Nobob community of Barren County, KY, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Charles was born January 2^nd, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Charles Albert Massey, Sr. and Patricia Kerbe.

 Charles was a member of the FOP Lodge #4, Police Emerald Society of Baltimore and the Police Benevolent Association. He was a retired Baltimore County police officer and was previously employed by the Monroe and Metcalfe County Sheriff’s departments.

 Survivors include two sons Charles Albert Massey III and Jack Massey; two daughters Kathryn Massey and Amelia Massey; one brother Michael Massey; nieces Victoria Castro and Amaya Massey; fiancé Michele Appler.

  In keeping with Charles’ wishes, cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Rd. Summer Shade, KY 42166. Visitation will begin at 12:00PM Monday, prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. All times are central standard time.
