Ricky Joe Abner, age 44 of Glasgow, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was a son of the late Stanley and Betty Glass Abner and was employed as an electrician.
He is survived by a daughter, Mollie Ann Abner of Glasgow; three brothers, Mark Abner, Keith Abner and Kevin Abner and wife, Penny all of Glasgow.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Burl Pitcock officiating. Burial will follow in the Shirley Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Saturday, Mar. 10, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McMurtrey Funeral Home at 2232 Summer Shade Rd.,Summer Shade,Ky. 42166 to help with funeral expenses.
Ricky you are sadly missed. You were a great father and Molly loved you so very much and we know how much you loved her. Bridgette misses you as well and loved you also. Rest in peach Ricky and know that you were loved, cared for, and will never be forgotten.

Its important to focus on the hope that Jesus himself described in John 5:28,29 and Pauls confidence in Acts 24:15 where it speaks of the resurrection of all those in the memorial tombs. And like you, I too look forward to that reunion.
