William Cleo "W. C." Shirley passed away on Friday April 18, 2025, at Hart County Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Bertha Lee Shirley, parents James Cleo Shirley and Louise Marie Hayes Shirley, and siblings Gladys Smith, Dorothy Bunton and Ann Grider.

Mr. Shirley formerly attended the Randolph Baptist Church and enjoyed antiquing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children Lesa Vandehey (Roger), William Lee Shirley, Jeffrey Neal Shirley (Ronda), Melissa Faye Radford (Chris), two honorary children Donnie Lamont Tooley and Sherketa Annette Tooley, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Saturday, April 26, 2025 at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Randolph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday after 11:00am at McMurtrey Funeral Home.
