Sharon [Fuzzy] Kaye Harper McMurtrey, age 59, of Summer Shade passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 in Nashville TN.

Born September 1, 1962 in Glasgow , KY , she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Joyce Ann Blankenship Harper. She was the widow of Gary McMurtrey.

Sharon worked at Monroe County Medical Center and was a member of the Willow Shade Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was loved by all who knew her

Survivors include one daughter, Emily (Wesley) Lewis, Portland , TN ; two sons, Russ (Erika) McMurtrey, Nolensville , TN and Ty (Emma) McMurtrey, Summer Shade; five grandchildren, Owen, Easton , Emmitt, and Henry Clay McMurtrey and Blakely Lewis. two sisters, Janetta (Dickie) Kirk, Tompkinsville and Karen [Pedie] (Jimmy) Moore, Marrowbone; three brothers, Junior (Teressa) Harper, Summer Shade, Ashley, (Sarah) Harper, Glasgow and Wesley (Angie) Harper; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 5, 2021, 2:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery . Visitation will be Saturday, June 4, 2022, 2:00-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday, June 5 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
