Pernie Kingrey McCoy, age 92, of Summer Shade, died January 23, 2014 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. She was born March 25, 1921 in Summer Shade, Ky.  the daughter of the late Westerfield and Cassie Lester Kingrey and she was the wife of the late C.W. McCoy. She was a housewife and a member of the Tompkinsville Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Charles (Linda) McCoy, Louisville, Randell McCoy, Summer Shade, and Mike (Irene) McCoy, Glasgow; and one daughter Kay (Jackie) Geralds, Tompkinsville; eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, by a son Kenneth McCoy, three sisters, Nell Bacon, Lucille McCoy, and Ruth Shaw, and one brother Lynn Kingrey. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Lewis Blythe and Bro. Maxie Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Summer  Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
