Martha Bowles Tudor, age 81, of Summer Shade, died July 16, 2014, at T. J. Samson Hospital .

She was born March 10, 1933, in Metcalfe County , to the late Joe Troy and Maude Taylor Bowles.  She was the wife of the late Joe Tudor.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Summer Shade Baptist Church .

Survivors include one daughter Tamara Blaydes ( Gary ), Center; two sons, Tony Tudor (Nancie), Tompkinsville, and Tim Tudor, Summer Shade; 6 grandchildren, Daniel Tudor, Kelly Oliver, Joseph Corey Tudor, Haley Martin, Hannah Shaw, and Hilary Harmon; 3 great grandchildren, Hunter and Kenton Oliver, and Caleigh Harmon; one brother, Sherman Bowles, Glasgow.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth (Red) Bowles, Joe Bowles, Harrison Bowles, and Tom Bowles.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00, at the Summer Shade Baptist Church , with Brother Chad Harston officiating, burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery . Visitation will begin Friday, July 18, at 12:00 at the McMurtrey Funeral Home and continue Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 9:00 until time of services at the Summer Shade Baptist Church .
