Marilyn June (Estes) Norris, age 83, of Summer Shade passed away December 6, 2022 at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.

Born February 11, 1939 in Summer Shade she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Vadie Easter Gibbons Estes.

She worked at Belden in Tompkinsville , Ky. and was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ

She is survived by one son, Dwight (Martha) Norris of Summer Shade; one grand daughter Amanda (Matt) Van Camp of Summer Shade and one grand son Billy Norris of Summer Shade; three great grandchildren Carson and Connor Van Camp and Gracie Norris,.

Also surviving are two sisters, Geenett Fish of Summer Shade and Mary Nell Hurt of Wabash , IN. and one brother, Jimmy Estes of Indianapolis , IN.

Marilyn was preceeded in death by her husband Alton Norris, daughter Deborah Turner, grandson, Kevin Turner and grand daughter, Donna Turner. Also preceding her in death is two sisters Lela Fish and Ora Dell Howard and five brothers Henry, Willie, Walter, Leonard and Elston Estes.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 9, 2022 at 11:00 at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Lewis Blythe officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery .

Visitation will be Thursday December 8, 2022 from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am till funeral time of 11:00.
