Mable Lucy Jane Groce Birge, age 81, of Summer Shade, passed away on Wednesday, April 06, 2022 at the University of Louisville Medical Center.

She was born November 17, 1940 in Burkesville , KY , to the late Boo and Thelma Hogan Groce. She was a member of the Refuge Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Lesa White and husband Rickey and Karen Eaton and husband Terry both of Glasgow ; four grandchildren, Brandon White, Whitney Norris and husband Brandon, Kathy Gosser and husband Eric, and Tyler Warren; two great- grandchildren, Hunter and Logan Norris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Birge; and one sister, Sally Farmer.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 09, at 1:00 from the Refuge Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery . Brother Danny Wyatt will officiate the funeral services. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 08 from 4-8 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home and on Saturday, April 09, from 10 until service time at 1 at the Refuge Church of Christ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the White Cemetery and can be left at the funeral home.
