Kenneth (Kenny) Edwin Strode, age 70, of Fountain Run passed away May 3, 2021 at his home.

Kenny was born September 18, 1950 in Tompkinsville , Ky. to the late James Edwin and Della Frances Hurt Strode.

Kenny was a owner operator of his own trucking company.

Kenny is survived by his wife Sylvia Fuller Strode: one daughter, Angie (Chris) Tucker of Sulphur Well; one son, Mark (Beth) Strode of Glasgow and a stepson Cord Thurman; seven grandchildren Brilee, Gracie, Mason and Ty Tucker, Kayla, Preston and Rylan Strode and one step grandchild Hannah Thurman. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce (Terry) Blythe of Brandenberg and Barbara (Mickey) White of Marrowbone and one brother, Jodie Strode of Tompkinsville and one aunt, Minnie Pearl Gore.

Other than his parents he was preceeded in death by one sister Betty Blankenship and one brother Jackie Strode.

Funeral services will be Thursday May 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.at McMurtrey Funeral Home with limited seating. A walk through visitation will be on Wednesday May 5, 2021 from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home and again on Thursday May 6 from 8:00 A.M. till funeral time. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Home Cemetery in Fountain Run, KY.

Face masks are required no food or drinks are allowed and social distancing is required.
