Katrina Lynn Young Cashin, 44 of Summer Shade, KY died Friday, May 24, 2024 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Burkesville, KY she was the daughter of the Late Guy Marty and Bea Henretta Norris Young, Mrs, Cashin was a homemaker, she loved gardening, crafting and being around people especially her children, grandchildren and other family members She was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Kelsie Cashin, Kylie Cashin both of Glasgow, Kelten Cashin of Summer Shade, one sister Letha (Doug) McPherson: three brothers Timmy (Melissa) Young, Stanley "Straw" (Peggy) Young and David Young all of Summer Shade: one grandchild Evelyn Carver and several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunts Marjorie Young, Nellie Geralds and Vivian Perkins.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, May 31, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday 11:00am until time for the service at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
