Johnny Glen Thrasher, age 70, of Burkesville, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Cumberland County Hospital .

Born June 16, 1946 in Cumberland County , he was a son of the late Edgar and Eva (Carter) Thrasher.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife Charlene Thrasher, Burkesville; two daughters, Sandra and Tonya Thrasher, Peru, IN; one step daughter Lenneta (Billy) Brothers, Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Sue Confer, Edmonton, Myrtle Herndon and Kathy (Jim) Purvis, Bluffton, IN; one brother Steve Thrasher, Bluffton, IN; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death besides his parents, by five brothers, James, Bill, Bob, Otha and Jack Thrasher and one sister Becky Thrasher.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Mark Parks, officiating. Burial will follow in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery . Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00.
