Born August 10,
1936, in Tompkinsville, he was the son of the late Richard Tennessee and Vessie
Ford Hammer and was a veteran of the Army.
Survivors include,
one daughter, Jeanene (Mark) LaMaster of Palos Hills, Illinois. One stepson, Steve (Stephanie)
Wright of Greenfield, Indiana. Three brothers, Travler Hammer of Tompkinsville.

and Charles Hammer.
He was preceded in
death by a step daughter Teresa Wright, Two brothers, Calvin and Cass Hammer
and two sisters, Tonnie Giddings and Vida Roth, and his former wife, Betty
Hammer.
Funeral services
will be Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 2:00 at McMurtrey Funeral Home in Summer
Shade with burial to follow at the
Hammer
Cemetery
. Viewing will
start Saturday, March 28, at 3:00 PM and after 8:00 AM on Sunday until time for the funeral.
