Herbert Alexander Murley, age 68 of Tompkinsville,died Thursday, April 21 at his home. He was a son of the late Raymond Herbert and Dollie Rebecca Fletcher Murley. He was a farmer, a former employee of Stitches, Inc. and was a Veteran of the U S Army. He is survived by his wife, Betty Wood Murley;  one daughter, Cynthia Dawn Murley of Tompkinsville;  two grandchildren, Alex Tarter and Cassie Dodson;  four sisters,Loretta (Bennie) Dubree and Evelyn Ferguson of Summer Shade, Jamie Farlee of Burkesville and Frances James of Indiana;  one brother, Stanley (Virginia ) Murley of Summer Shade. In addition to;his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister,Opal Harlan. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro.Bryan Fox officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, Apr.22 at 3:00PM at the funeral home In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made to help with the funeral expense.
