Harold Gene Embry, age 71, of the Freedom Community, died June 15, 2015, at his home.

He was born September 14, 1943, in Lee , Kentucky . He was a son of the late Crit and Eva Embry and the husband of Dianna Embry, who survives.

He was a brick mason and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Carol Brown, Glasgow, April (Andy) Holley, Glasgow and Shannon Lamae, TN; three sons, Matthew Stout, Glasgow, Stacy Slover, Glasgow, and Jack Slover, Williamsburg; seven grandchildren, Melissa Blankenship, Nita Morgan, Jerry Pedigo, Wyatt Pedigo, Dillon Pedigo, Jackson Slover and James Slover; and eight great grandchildren, Jeremiah Morgan, Adam Morgan, Kristi Finn, Megan Finn, Miranda Finn, Cheyenne Morgan, Taylor Pedigo and Dannielle Pedigo.

He was preceded in death by a son, Harold Embry Jr., his grandparents, and one great grand daughter, Cheyenne Morgan.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 1:00 pm at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Poplar Log Cemetery . Visitation will begin Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 1:00 pm and on Thursday, June 18, 2015, after 7:00 until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Poplar Log Cemetery .
