Edith Sue Jackson Jones, age 68, of Tompkinsville, died Sunday, January 31, 2016, at her daughters residence.

Born November 12, 1947 in Glasgow , she was a daughter of the late Rene (Wisdom) and Riley Jackson and the widow of the late Louie Jones.

She was a CNA at NHC in Glasgow and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors, include one daughter Debbie (Buddy) Gentry, Summer Shade; two sons, Franklin (Christy) Jones, Tompkinsville, and Ricky (Tammy) Jones, Tompkinsville; eight grandchildren, Jacob Jones, Josh, Austin and Kirsten Jones, Neil Lawson, Brandi Lawson, Nicole Gentry, Frank Jones, Ricky Allen Jones; one step grand child Casey Lawson; two great grandchildren, Hailey Lawson and Holden Cary; and one brother, Phillip (Mae) Jackson, Scottsville.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Dewayne Jones; and two sisters, Maxine Lemmons and Evelin Gore, and two brothers, Richard Wisdom and Paul Houchens Jr.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Tim White officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery .  Visitation will begin Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 1:00-8:00 PM and on Wednesday, after 7:00 AM until time of services.

Memorials may be made to the Summer Shade Fire Department or the Brown Cemetery , and may be left at the funeral home.
