Donnie "Shaw" Lester, age 83, of Edmonton passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Metcalfe Healthcare Center . Born December 24, 1938 in Metcalfe County , she was a daughter of the late Susan "Syra" and Glen Shaw.

She worked at Mallory's as machine operator and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Allbright and husband Timmy of Edmonton; two grandchildren, Brandon McCoy of Glasgow and Nick Anderson of Edmonton ; one great granddaughter, Hallie McCoy

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Wayne "Nig" Lester; daughter, Connie Lester; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Carl Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery . Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2022, 4:00-8:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 15 after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Summer Shade Volunteer Fire Department.
