Dempsey Anderson, age 80, of Summer Shade, died Saturday, February
28, 2015, at NHC Health Care in
Glasgow
.
Born August 28,
1934 in
Cumberland
County
, he was a son of
the late Mildred Anderson and Alvis Anderson. He was the husband of Ruby C
White Anderson who survives. They were married February 24, 1973.
He was retired from
Caring Spinning Co. and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors, in
addition to his wife, include six step daughters; one brother, Jimmy Douglas
Anderson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by one step daughter, Helen Faye Jennings and one sister Phyllis Gilbert.
Funeral services
will be Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with
Bro. Mark Parks officiating, burial will follow in the
Leslie
Cemetery
.
Visitation will begin Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 3:00 PM and after seven on
Monday until time of services.
