Clifton Lawrence Smith, age 75 of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Monroe County Medical Center.  He was a farmer and the son of the late Raymond Lawrence Smith and Mary Allen Fletcher Smith. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Ethridge Smith; two daughters, Nancy Ellen Miller and Barbara Smith Hagan (Bobby) both of Summer Shade; three grandchildren, Cindy Miller Day (Jason) of Cub Run, Ky, Amy and Daniel Miller of Summer Shade;  and two great grandchildren, Jacie Day and Waylon Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by one son, Ricky Lawrence Smith. Funeral services will be Saturday,  March 30 at 1:00 PM at White Chapel in Monroe County with interment in the White Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, March 29 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home.
