Born July 9, 1934 in
Albany
,
KY
he was a son of the late Oral
and Gladys Burchett Long.
He was a
retired farmer and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include,
one daughter, Kellye (Tim) Riggs, Bridgeport, NE; one son, Kane (Lori)
Long, Marrowbone; four sisters, Pat Skidmore,
Montgomery, AL, Ada Jarvis, Venice, FL, Mary Doris, Frankfort, KY and Clara
Qualls, Albany, KY; one brother, Billy Long, Nashville, TN; eight
grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in
death, besides his parents, by one son, Kevin Long and one sister, Kay
Edmondson.
Memorial services
will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019, 1:00 PM at the Marrowbone Clubhouse,
Marrowbone, KY, with Wayne Watts, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday,
November 9, 2019, 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Marrowbone United Methodist Church.
Cremation was
chosen with McMurtrey Funeral Home assisting the family.
