Survivors include his wife Dana "Grider" Parnell of Summer Shade, one daughter Wendy Stephens and husband Jerry of Randolph; two sisters Becky Pike and husband Ricky of Georgia and Sheila Reece of Knob Lick; two brothers, Jay Parnell and wife Martha of Knob Lick and Micah Parnell and wife Jenny of Sulphur Wells; one grandson, Chase Stephens of Randolph.
In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death one brother Tommy Parnell.
