Billy Joe "Calhoun" Jennings, 88, of Glasgow KY, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at NHC Healthcare. He was born to the late Mike Jennings and Ethel Denham.

He enjoyed coon-hunting, western movies, gospel/country music, and spending time with "them babies." He worked at the sawmill in Summer Shade. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son, Joe Jennings (Tammy); daughters, Karen Dowell (Charles) of Glasgow and Julia Vaughan (David) of Arkansas; grandchildren, Amanda Browning (Chris), Chris Dowell (Katie), Felicia Wilson, Sarah Jennings, Emmy Rawlins (JR), Hannah Jennings (Shelton), and Sophie Jennings; great grandchildren, Shelby Ballard (Anthony), Christopher Browning, Mallory Dowell, McKenna Dowell, Jaxson Dowell, Patrick Dowell, Elizabeth Vaughan, Tyler Dodson, and Kierra Moore; great great grandchildren, Kason, Grayson, Braylon, and Magnolia.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Janice Jennings; granddaughter, Vanessa Johnson; great granddaughter, Gracie McAdams; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, March 14, 2025, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Gee Harvey Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Friday starting at 8:00am until time for the service.
