Amy Jewell Cyphers Adams, age 92, of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at NHC in Glasgow .

Born September 21, 1924, in Burkesville , Kentucky she was a daughter of the late George Tracy and Vestie Colson Cyphers and the widow of the late Billie Adams, who died September 6, 1997.

She retired from Eli Lilly in Indianapolis , IN and was a member of the Cyclone Church of Christ.

Survivors, include one daughter, Pam (Ronnie) Ferguson, Red Boiling Springs, TN; one son, Mike (Debbie) Adams, Lenoir City, TN; three grandsons, Christopher Michael and Stephan Ryan, both of Knoxville, TN and Billy Ralph Ferguson, Red Boiling Springs, TN; and five great grandchildren, Chandler Seth Reece and Haley, Nicholas, Hunter and Hayden Adams.

She was preceded in death by one grand daughter, Amy Dean Ferguson; two brothers, Bill and Barlow Cyphers; three sisters, Ruby Smith, Magdeline Wright and Ida Belle Simpson; and one half brother Kelly Cyphers.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Larry Hafley officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery in Cumberland County . Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Scott Cemetery .
