Dalton Lyle Hodges, 88 of Summer Shade passed away Thursday August 24,2023 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. He was born July 24, 1935 to the late Bernard Hodges and Elsie Branstetter Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a United States Army veteran and an avid farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Linda Hodges of Summer Shade, four children Tim (Kaye) Hodges, Richard Hodges (Betsy Smith), Joey Hodges and Lonnie Hodges all of Summer Shade. Grandchildren Katie (Jason) McMurtrey and Kelsie (Tyler) Garmon, great grandchild Averie Garmon, sister Rose Garrett, brothers Loyd Hodges and Roger (Darlene) Hodges, and brother-in-law Jimmy Kessler.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his son Chris Hodges and sisters Ruth Ferguson and Bonnie Kessler.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August
26,2023 at 1:00 P.M. at White Cemetery Chapel with burial in the White
Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday August 25, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at
McMurtrey Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. at White Cemetery Chapel
until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to White Cemetery or Summer Shade Cemetery.
