Joe (Mr. Joe) W. Thompson

 

   Joe (Mr. Joe) Wallace Thompson, age 78, of Randolph passed away March 22, 2021 at Signature Health Care of Glasgow..

   Joe was born in Glasgow, Ky. He was the son of the late Howard and Ruth DeVore Thompson.

   Joe was a cosmetologist for 54 years and was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of Christ and a Mason.

   Joe is survived by his wife Joyce Akers Thompson, two sons Todd Thompson of Edmonton and Joe Akers (Jamie) of Louisville, one daughter Sarah Drury (Ken Joines) of Glasgow, and six grandchildren Blake Thompson, Kassidi Akers, Molly Akers, Salyssa Shoopman, Connor Spears and Peanut (Jaccy) Drury.

    Other than his parents he was preceeded in death by his first wife Betty Gentry Thompson.

    A walk through visitation will begin Thursday March 25, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Masonic Rites conducted at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday March 26, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ.

   Funeral services will be Friday March 26, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ in Randolph with limited seating and burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery

    Face masks are required, social distancing practiced, no food or drinks allowed
