TRUMAN LESTER ( T.L.) MOODY

Truman Lester ( T.L.) Moody, age 86 of Tompkinsville, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Monroe Co.Health Care Center.
He was a retired carpenter and a son of the late Fred and Maddie Barksdale Moody.
He is survived by a step-son, Richard Pipkin of Springfield,Il;  two sisters, Georgia Moody of Tompkinsville and Iva Coe of  Indianapolis,In; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In  addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Baliey Moody,  two  
brothers,Marvin and Willie T. Moody,and one sister,  Nettie Kate Baliey.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec.29 at1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bushong Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 29 at10:00 AM until time for services at 1:00 PM.

KYLE EDWAD BALLARD

 Kyle Edward  Ballard, age 76, of Tompkinsville, formerly of Summer Shade, died Dec. 24, 2012, at his home.  He was a farmer and a son of the late Radford and Sally Fansler Ballard.
He is survived by four daughters, Christina Ballard of Edmonton, Sinda Anderson  and Karen Bartley both of Summer Shade and Becky (Davis ) Hurt of Glasgow;  three sons, Jason ( Jesssica) Ballard of Gamaliel, Ricky ( Debbie ) Ballard of Summer Shade and Duane ( Kim ) Ballard of Dayton, O;  two sisters, Ruby Hendershott of Chicago, Il. and Helen Miller of Alexndria,Ky;  one brother, Kenneth Ballard of Tompkinsville;  sixteen grandchildren  and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timmy Ballard and several sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 28 at 1:00  P M at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Parks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Thursday, Dec. 27 at 1:00 P M at the funeral home.

BILLY CAROL WILBORN

Billy Carol Wilborn, age 63 of Indianapolis, died there Sunday  Dec.23  at his home. He was a self employed mechanic and a son of the late Leo and Thelma Miller Wilborn.
He is survived by one daughter, Julie (Chris ) Blythe of Tompkinsville;  two sons, Joey (Katie ) Wilborn of Glasgow and Ben Wilborn of Summer Shade. Nine grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Wilborn.
There will be no funeral service, as cremation was chosen. A private burial will be at a later date.

DWIGHT ARNOLD ENGLAND

Dwight Arnold England, age  82 of Edmonton, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Metcalfe
Co. Health Care Center.  He was a retired truck driver and a son of the late Hastel and Brentz England.  He was a member of the South Edmonton Church of Christ and a US Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.  He was past commander and member of the VFW Post 6281 of Edmonton.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Hood England;  one daughter, Marla Jean Cahill ( Ivan Arney ) of Guston, Ky;  three sons, David England, Madison NC, Jeffrey H. England, of Edmonton and Richard Joseph (Lonnie )England of Indiana;  one sister, Ollie Branstetter, of  Glasgow;  six grandchildren, Jamie Fowler, Victoria Ann England, David Michael England, Matthew Dwight Cahill, Mitchell Thomas Cahill and Joseph Hastell England;  two greatgrandchildren, Noah Patrick  Cahill and Khloe Fowler;  one sister in law, Sue England, wife of Hollis England of Murfreesboro, Tn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Hollis England and one grand-
 child, Rebecca Ann England.
Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 17 at 1:00 P M at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Trimm officiating.  Burial will follow in the Happy Valley Memorial Garden with DAV Chapter 20 providing military honors.
Visitation will begin Sunday, Dec. 16, at 1:00 P M at the funeral home.

WILLIAM TAYLOR RODDY

William Taylor Roddy, age 78 of Indianapolis, In., formerly of Tompkinsville, died Dec .
12, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was a son of the late Robert Taylor and Kate Pitcock Roddy.  He was retired from Ingersoll-Rand in Indianapolis and was a Veteran of the U S Army.  He was a member of the Beckton Church of Christ
He is survived by his wife,  Mary Jane Crabtree Roddy;  one son, Robert Taylor Roddy, Jr. of Indianapolis; one step son Hurstel Godsey and one step daughter, Phyllis Goss;   two sisters,  Betty (Bruce ) Fahnestock of Greenfield, In. and Marilyn (Joe ) Keffaber of Bowling Green;  three brothers, Orville Roddy and J.B. Roddy both of Indianapolis and Paul (Brenda ) Roddy of Tompkinsville.
In addition to his  parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Inell Carter and niece, Rita Fay Carter.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1:00 P M at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
Visitation will be  Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11:00 A M until time of service at 1:00 P M.
Memorials may be made to the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery..

GUY MARRS YOUNG

Guy Marrs Young, age 78 of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, December 11 at home. He was a farmer and a son of  the late Cecil and Polly Bridges Young.
He is survived by two daughters, Letha (Doug ) MacPherson and Katrina  Cashin both of Summer Shade;  three sons, Timmy (Melissa) Young of Summer Shade, Stacey " Straw" (Peggy) Young of Temple Hill and David Young of Summer Shade;  nine grandchildren, Crystal Spencer, Johnathon Young, Tabatha Moore,  Daniel Young, Aaron Young, Kelsie Cashin, Kylie Cashin, Kolten Cashin, special grandchild, Christy Walkker;  four great grandchildren, Jacoby Moore, Jaylan Dugard, Dalton Spencer and Callie Walker;  two sisters, Marjorie Young of Tompkinsville and Nellie (Clarence) Geralds of Mt.Hermon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister,Thelma Key.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec.14, at 1:00 P M at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Paul Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Thursday, Dec. 13 at 2:00 P M at the funeral home.

HENRY LEE FORBIS

Henry Lee Forbis, age 47, died Saturday, December 01, 2012 at home. He was a son of Walter Stanley and the late Virginie Riley Forbis.  He was a farmer.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two brothers, John Forbis of Summer Shade and Frank Forbis and wife, Marilyn of Hopkinsville;  one niece Amy Lynn Wilson and husband, Jason of Elkton and two great nieces, Jacey and Jamie Wilson.
Gravesite services will be Tuesday,Dec.4 at 1:00 P M  at the White Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Monday, Dec. 3 at 5:00 P M at the McMurtrey Funeral Home and continue through Tuesday until 12:30 P M when we will be leaving to go to the White Cemetery.
