Carl D. (Shorty ) Frazier, age 71 of Ssummer Shade, died Thursday, Feb. 17 at the T J Samson Community Hospital.  He was a native of Monroe Co. and was a son of the late Vestus and Nettie Pennington Frazier. He was co-owner and operator of Mary's Restaurant in Summer Shade.  He retired from the Army National Guard and was a member of the Germany Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife,Mary Spears Frazier;  two daughters, Laura Hagan and husband, Terry of Glasgow and Jamie Whiteside of Eminence,Ky; two step sons, Tony Mosby and wife, Deleda of Glasgow and Tim Mosby of Summer Shade;  three sisters, Margie Rich, Mary Kingrey and Ruth Davis and husband, Ricky all of Tompkinsville;  three brothers, Harold Frazier and wife Catherine, Joe Frazier and wife,Joyce and Ted Frazier and wife, Katrina all of Tompkinsville;  four grandchildren,McKenzie Hagan, Alexis Whiteside, Madison Hagan and Brendon Smith;  five step-grandchildren, Casey Harlow, Carla Netherland, Anthony Mosby, Justin Mosby and Erica Harper;  five great step grandchildren Andrew Mosby, Clay Hilton, Autumn Harlow, Bailey Mosby and Jaeden Mosby.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Hagan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Monroe Co. Memorial Lawn.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM andcontinue through Saturday until 8:00 Pm and Sunday until time of

I can remember going into the restraunt as a child with my Granny and Pa (Bobby and the late Devonia Huff) and Shorty always saying "Here comes that Sarah Jane"! Shorty was a good man and I am sorry to hear of his passing. The family is in my prayers.
